Buy a Bench or get a gym membership?

i would go with the gym, it is so much easier to lift in a gym, you have all the equipment you need, it is much more motivating there as you go there do your thing and leave compared to lifting at home so many distractoins, also you will meet some cool people and people to motivate you at teh gym.

I workout at home, no waiting, nobody bothering you and you dont have to drive all the way to a gym to workout. And the music selection is all up to you.

i'd rather workout at a gym to more equipment etc.... but home does off more of a convienice for some people

Personally i would go for the gym membership. Unless you can get a decent olympic bar and weights sets along with a decent squad rack, bench, d/b sets....ahhh, fuck it that would cost too much...go 4 the gym!

I don't know if you work a lot but try getting a partime job at YMCA or something. A lot of buddies in high school did it. Their pretty flexable with hours and shifts. Hell one of them only worked 3 hours a week and received a free gym membership.
Just an idea

I'm from Winnipeg, but I have friends that train in TO... Try the U of T gym they have cheap rates there. Hell I'm sure the YMCA's out there aren't that expensive, and if so they do have subsidized memberships if you really need. Look around, schools and community clubs sometimes have gyms and they're really cheap if you can find one.

My 2 cents,
Ingram
