bulking/2 days a week

New member
I hired a trainer 3 weeks ago, do to limited funds I can only train w/him on Tues./Thurs. My question is, he says I should only train with him and do nothing else during the week but my usual classes, I teach 3 per week. I do legs on Tues. and upper body on Thurs. The session lasts 30-40 min.s This doesn't seem like enough to add any substantial muscle. We do 3 sets per exersice, 1 warm-up 2 heavy. Any comments would be appreciated.

Bulking has to do with diet, not training.

I use 3 - 60 min sessions per week for my clients that covers all bodyparts except abs. The routine has been described previously. Couldn't produce the results I get with less. Personally I think 3 x 60 min a week is about the minimum. However, I don't think more than 4 - 1hr sessions, each body part trained once a week intensely is necessary either excluding abs and cardio.

your training sounds very effective, I'm used to training one body part per day, 4-5 days a week thats why what he has me doing seems like not enough, but he has a great reputation and has trained alot of female body buildings. My diet is very clean 5 meals a day, 50-20-30 ratio, I'm following a nutritional plan from Beverly International.
