breakfast: oatmeal

Oatmeal is carboyhydrate "dense".

Your portions would be small - but you can use in moderation combined with a quality protein.

Definitely opt for the slow cook oatmeal over instant (more fiber present lowering it's glycemic index).
You can even add a little bran to increase the fiber some more.

My favorite was to mix in chocolate protein powder (1:1 ratio with carbs) and then put into the fridge overnight - sets up like a cake!

I ate oatmeal for breakfast on a fat loss cycle with no problems.

depends on how low u want to keep your carbs and how u eat for the rest of the day, personally i think on a low carb diet (depending on your definition, my definition of low carb is <100g per day, very low carb is < 50g per day)
oatmeal in the morning and then dextrose in your pw shake post

I see, thank you, I'd like to keep my carbs very low, so I guess I'll stick to egg whites in the morn, thanks again.

how about FLAX + WHEY for breakfast. i'm on a low carb diet (VERY LOW <20) and that's what i do.

On my low carb days(less than 100) I eat egg whites and Low-Carb Whole wheat toast 7carbs per slice with Peanut butter comes to about 20-24carbs total.
