Stumbled across this recipe and made it last night...this stuff is awesome!
1 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 tablespoons chile powder
Combine these ingredients in a small skillet and saute for 3 minutes stirring constantly. Be careful not to burn! When done, dump in a food processor. Add:
1 can black beans, drained & rinsed
1 can diced tomatoes, drained
1 cup chicken stock
1 tablespoon worcestershire
2 teaspoons lime juice
1 teaspoon honey
1/4 cup fresh cilantro
salt & pepper to taste
Puree all ingredients until smooth. Transfer to skillet and simmer until sauce thickens, about 15 minutes.
I poured it over grilled chicken breasts, but it can be used on anything!! It's delicious!
