I was told that you had a good example of a diet to lose fat but when i did a search I didn't come up with it. I am 5"5 150 trying to drop to 130. If you could pm me that diet I would LOVE you forever!!

Oh I was under the impression it was an example of a meal plan......I need some examples. Thank you

Do you mean ACTUAL FOOD? Well that is simple.

Sources of protein are lean beef, chicken, fish, lowfat cottage cheese, turkey, peanut butter

Complex Carbohydrate = oatmeal, brown rice, yam

Fibrous Carb = VEGGIES

So just plug in any of those into the meal plan and viola - food for the day.

I NEVER have a problem while eating out. For breakfast or if the meal is earlier in the day, believe it or not I like to go to IHOP - they have plain oatmeal! For any other meal - ANY restaurant I have been to has always been MORE than happy to accomodate a request I have. ie - negate the rice pilaf and just give me extra veggies, or depending on how skimpy the serving of chicken is I just ask for twice the amount of meat.

EVERY DAY for meal one and sometimes two depending on where I am with training and how I look...I have

1C oatmeal
4 egg whites + 1 whole egg
1 packet of equal
bit of skim milk if I desire
coffee w/skim milk if I want

I LOVE THIS (I mix it all together) and cook it up in a little pot. It becomes almost like a lumpy custard. My kids think that I am waaaaaaaay gross, but it keeps me happy (how sad is that?!)

After that a meal can consist of anything from a MRP shake w/water or 1C of soy milk to a can of tuna and as many veggies as I can stuff in my stomach or 5-8 slices of turkey breast + lots of veggies.

Do I ever cheat? HELL YEA! After a shoot or at least once a week, I tend to indulge. Whether that is cookies or ice cream or lasagna doesn't really matter. It is only one day and as long as you don't GORGE YOURSELF it will not affect you. If I cheat more, than that means that I will have to diet harder and do more cardio so it matters how much I want it at the time. I also take breaks from cardio. Especially if I have been hitting it hard. I'll take several days off then gradually build back up depending on when my next shoot is.

1 gallon a water daily.

It is not rocket science. Consistency is the key. I already have the mass I want so now for me it is about maintanence. Once you have the mass, life will be soooooo much easier.
 
I have all the mass I want........that's exactly it. Definately don't want any more. I need to lean up though....bout 20lbs worth and I definately seem to have reached a plateau. Thank you so much for your help.

i thought i was the only crazy person who did this!!! i put a little maple syrup and no milk though... (a little less oatmeal too (about 50ml dry))

i personally think it tastes great!!!!!
 
This is what I am looking for...ideas on what the heck to eat to lose this last 10-12 lbs of fat. I am gaining muscle which is great, but I have that layer of fat over it. I need quick easy meals. Right now I have a slim fast with a scoop of protein and 2 boiled eggs with no yok in the morning. Then granola bar 2 hours later, then a huge salad with chicken for lunch, then cottage cheese with fruit for snack, then a huge salad with beans for dinner. Am I on the right track, I just started that one. I am getting frustrated, so let me know if you have any tips. Thanks:bawling:

slim fast is garbage... i'd stay away from it... get some good carbs in the morning... (oatmeal, shreaded wheat etc)
 
This accomplishes the same thing, but is quick....

Add your raw oatmeal to blender with protein powder, a few almonds if you like(I do), flax oil for consistancy and flavor enhancement, maybe a little coffee or cocoa powder, and some splenda to taste.

After cardio I add creatine, fruit(strawberry, kiwi, blueberry) and 1/3 cup of yogurt.

This will make an excellent Moca or coffee protein shake without the fruit. You can let it be vanilla if you like. Just don't combine coffee and fruit, it's pretty nasty. The cocoa combines nicely with strawberry and blueberry, just not kiwi.
