Better to load with fats or carbs

Simple question. which is the better choice to load with? carbs or fats like almonds and nuts etc. thanks

IMO carbs are the better choice. If you have time, it's a good idea to experiment though with carbs vs carbs and fat and see how your body responds.

Remember that keto diets center in being low carb, high protein, moderate to high fat; whereas, there are also diets that are low in fat. I will look for a study I read about different diets

From the New rules of lifting:

In a recent study, resercers at turfts- New England Medical Center put overweight and obese subjects on one of four popular diets: Ornish(super low fat), Atkins(super low carb), Zone(balance protein, carbs, fat, Weight Watchers(calorie counters)...

average weight loss
Atkins: 4.6 lb adherance 53%
Ornish: 7.25 lb "" 50%
WW: 6.6 lb "" 65%
Zone: 7 lb "" 65%

This means that the diet that showed better results was the Ornish; however, you are more likely to stick with the WW or Zone diet in the long run.
Now it's your turn to decide

Did the study define what is considered "super low fat?"

Those results are common sense in my book. Think about it....the zone which is a diet of balance. The only way it works is when you eat lean proteins along with complex carbs and healthy fats. You def going to lose weight and you stick to it longer because when you cheat amd eat crap you actually feel worse so you cheat less. I use adkins to drop fast if I have to but practice the zone year round.

I interested to see if the study tracked the fat intake on the super low fat diet. For example, tracking fat grams for each day to ensure that it was below a certain amount.

Considering how many calories are in a gram of fat, it would have to be REALLY low... <10g maybe?
