HIT cardio causes anaroebic resp. to make ATP which causes lactic acid build up in the muscle. I like doing long sessoins where I can hold a conversation and not feel any burn.

I hate doing cardio, its boring as fuck, unlike lifting which i LOVE. I would rather do it for a good 20-25min at a high intensity then sit there for an hour. Shit, im already at the gym for an hour lifting.
So if im reading all this right, short intense cardio burns more calories in the long run due to elevated metbolism over a long time, but you can end up burning some muscle?

I'm totally confused now. One thing I will not be doing for 45 minutes is a moderate walk on the treadmil. I'll fall asleep and fall of and hurt my poor little self!
Don't flame me, but look at all the pips on body 4 life. They do 20 minutes of high intensity cardio don't they? They don't got much fat either.
Sorry bro, you are wrong. All the new research is pointing towards short, intense cardio sessions are the best for fat loss. Its the calories you burn afterwords that count also. High Intensity cardio raises your metabolism by an extra 15% for an hour after your workout, and an extra 5% for the entire day!
Absolutely correct. Simply look at the TOP sprinters in the world compared to the top marathon runners.
The sprinter not only have a lower BF than the marathon runner but the sprinter is also able to keep their muscle mass.
Short 20-25 minute INTENSE cardio is definitely the way to go.
BTW: I am at 181 6% BF and have NEVER done cardio for more than 30 minutes. (I also eat like an absolutel pig....tons of empty carbs and fat in my diet)

20 mins of low intensity-moderate cardio, then bump it up for 10 mins of high intensity before you get off and leave .... both angles covered.... then late night take a walk with your girlfriend (low intensity cardio) then fuck the shit out of her at a local park (high intesity cardio) and that should cover all your bases....
