Is this silly thread still going on? Protein is protein. Some, like casein, are slower released and some , like whey, are faster released so you can mix and match if you really want to fine tune things, but it isn't like one brand is better than another -- unless they use whey concentrate or soy which are cheaper substances and don;t have as good of a POV. Other than that, most ;protein comes from the same manufacturering plant. The companies just put their own label on it. So if you want to pay an extra 10 bucks for a Nitrotech label, be my guest.

Now when it comes to GEAR, that's a different story. GEAR has superplasma protein and that's a reseach chemical compound and it far exceeds any supplement or food source. It's in another league in regard to potential muscle growth. End of story. No more discussion. Not open for debate. It is the best protein source you can buy. The end.

I agree Nelson!

Also guys, there are some protein powders out there that actually put aminogen in there too. Check out Inner Armour nitro peak or casein. I always keep my eyes peeled for some kinda digestive enzyme in the protein blend to at least help alittle with absorption. But finding aminogen in something other than GEAR was AMAZING!
However, like Nelson said, GeAR is a whole nother wonder of a supplement. It's a combination of super-awesome-fell-from-heaven proteins and digestive enzymes in a pill. Each bottle of gear you finish, adds a new zip code to your muscles :-) ;-) :-)

I'm still not buying the Gear hype. For a dollar, you get about 2 grams of protein in gear. I think 20 grams of whey protein for the same price would be much more beneficial.

I like dymatize whey iso 100 . Chocolate and cookies n cream is Effin delish. I like gear also. But it's a pill not a treat. I like my tasty treats too

I use Syntha 6 vanilla... best tasting i've ever had and i also like that it has a blend of different proteins.... Plus it has carbs and fiber..

I'll let you know how GEAR works out. I'm in the middle of a tren e / test e cycle and I am popping these pills like candy. Anywhere from 10-14 caps a day. It's been a week and I'm liking what I am seeing so far.

I'll add one to the list that I have been using for about two months and love...Muscletech's Phase 8. Chocolate is delicious, and mixes easily. Vanilla is ok, not as tasty as chocolate. Only 150 calories but it is very satiating. Even just mixing with water only. It lasts with you which I like. Really good product I think. I tried MT's anabolic halo and I like the phase 8 better. A little higher priced than some others but worth it.

I noticed Gaspari's Myofusion on the list up top. A close second to this. ^^
I was using that for a while and liked it a lot until I tried the phase 8.
With the Myofusion, I bought the probiotic series tho.
Great product!

Protein is protein. The only difference is flavor.

You're kidding yourself if you think differently.

Except for this: Gear- The best protein supplemet around. Find out why.

I disagree totally. Amino acid profile is what makes a protein good or bad. IMHO the brand with the most leucine is what I would go with. Swallowing a protein that is mostly glycine / proline and serine (Like Muscle Meds Carnivore since it's almost all Collagen) will do nothing towards building muscle

I voted for the Nitrotech because it has 11g of Leucine per service. Leucine was scientifically singled out as the only amino acid involved in muscle protein synthesis. However other amino acids such as glutamic acid and lysine play a role in nitrogen balance. I would also like to add methionine and threonine as lypolytic amino acids. Aspartic acid (which is non essential) can remove ammonia from the blood after workouts. Phenylalanine is used to create tyrosine which is used to create epinephrine and norepinephrine.

Basically the higher in essential amino acids and BCAA's (which are essential) is what I would look for.

GEAR has BCAA's with Leucine at the highest amount. But unless an abundant amount of extra leucine is added to a protein powder, it's not going to make a relevant difference -- in which case you might as well just supplement with leucine. It'll be cheaper than paying for the Gaspari brand. But GEAR is in a whole other category and that is a fact.

Why is this conversation still going on? People...all protein comes from the same source!!! The only difference in brands is the flavoring. So anyone who claims one whey isolate is better than another whey isolate is either clueless or talking out of their ass.

Now there are better FORMS of protein and none is better than superplasma serum, which is a research compound. It can be found only in GEAR.

Protein from FOOD is my favorite. Other than that, as long as it is WHEY and not packed with sugar, filler or artificial crap...I'm good.

You're all wrong.. the best protein is the organic one..

Sun warrior
Its not about time
Etc.

The pitfallm is they are so Damn expensive.

learn and apply

I agree, sun warrior is king. But expensive

Yah you're telling me that. I buy it for my woman for her organic smoothies. I however now just use Optimums Nutritions natural protein. Its the cheapest more along the healthiest option i could find.

I did however come across a guy who use to work for a dairy refiners and they would do deals selling whey conc at 100lb for 150.00 and he said they used heat to extract it..

Definitely Optimum Nutrition. Relatively cheap, great taste & high quality. Oh, and Sarms1 lol.

Lol talk about bioscience alert. There are good brands, but even the bad brands will still yield plenty of results. You can get all crazy with your protein if you'd like, but in the end getting that crazy with it will only yield maybe an extra 1% gain. And IMO that's a complete waste of time and energy worrying that damn much unless you're getting ready for the Olympia. It's like the "all natural" freaks out there. You get shredded and swole just fine not worrying about that shit. If you're competing and it's your job to take it to that level then by all means go for it. But if you're an average guy just trying to turn heads or just wanting to be impressed with your own body then all this worrying^ is a waste of time.

WheyToBuildMuscle Cinnabon flavor was he most delicious. But right now I'm all over the ON 100% natural whey and caseins.

I'm gonna say the best protein I've taken is the CORE Protein Shake by MyntProducts.com

Little bit pricey, but high quality at $59 price for 25oz bag. Take 1-2 scoops serving with 8fl oz of water.

It's an all natural, soy free, gluten free protein powder. Uses what they call TruCelle which is a restructured micellar casein.

I got the vanilla and chocolate flavors. Taste was pretty good. Didn't gag on it.

Whey to build muscle from N2BM. Love the cookies and cream.. mixes and tastes great. Good price as well

N2bm protein is definitely the best I've had as far as flavor goes. I haven't had a flavor yet that wasn't complete fire! Love that stuff

Which dissolves easily and completely? Haven't been able to find one that doesn't leave clumps.

I find that hydroslates do disolve completely . It's usually the micellar casein that leave clumps. In those cases you may need a blender. Even after I break open a capsule of digestive enzymes into the shake and leave it over night... a good micellar casein will still have chunks

I use all protein factory products. Casein, super amino 97, cfm whey ISO. My current favorite is the New Zealand whey protein. Thinnest shakes I've ever had especially with almond milk 👍

Now foods whey iso pure is the best protein... period !!! And it's backed by lab testing... there is none better for you!!!

UNDER CONSTRUCTION....

Voted for isopure but Im allso a big fan of myofusion(gaspari), Syngex(vpx) and Labrada Pro V60.

I like isopure too but lately I've been drinking syntha6 the choc peanut butter flavor.. It's so bomb best flavor I've ever tried with just water anything els would be too thick.. But Olson put 2 scoops which ends up being 44g.. Good shit tho plus isopure is kind of pricy you can get syntha online for super cheap

I really like the isolation protein from n2bm.com. It is the only pure whey isolate protein I have found that is naturally flavoured and sweetened with the non-caloric natural sweetener stevia. I try to limit the amount of artificial things I put in my body and most protein powders are full of artificial flavours, colours and sweeteners.

26g protein, 1g carbohydrate and 0g fat per serving. It truly is the Rolls Royce of protein powders. Tastes great too.

The best protein is a pure whey isolate that contains no fillers or additives. You want to see nothing more in the ingredient list then whey protein isolate, natural/artificial flavours, noncaloric sweeteners and maybe some salt and soy lecithin.

I personally use isolation from n2bm.com. I like that it is naturally flavoured and sweetened with the noncaloric natural sweetener stevia.
