I will have to try some of this. :p

Dont have the specs in front of me right now, but CytoGainer seems to be a good product, I believe its 54 grams of protein, vitamin package, carbs. Seems to help out for in between meals. If you shop around on the web, you can pick up the six pounders for 26 bucks/ no shipping.

plus gnc sells it for 29 for a big ass box. used to be 59, gnc claims they are not dealing with metrx anymore but ive gotten berry blast for 2 yrs now and they said this to me longer ago than that. also throw in one scoop of strawberry muscle milk for an extra 300 cals, 18g of healthy fat, 595mg of potassium and 16g of protein from a tiny scoop. great when mixed together.

i don't believe in pre-made MRPs

I just grab some protein powder and mix in ANPB and a banana. That's all ya need. :D

Lean Mass Complex from ProLab. Formely Lean Mass MAtrix. 40 grams carbs from Lower GI Carb, 5 grams Fiber, 40 grams protein, from a good blend of proteins, 8 or 10 grams of fat (can't remember), the majority from healthy fat sources. And tastes fuckin awesome and fills you up. Mmm Mmm.

I don't want something with a ton of dextrose in it... that is not the carbs that I am looking for.

muscle milk for me, reason being it tastes great and easily mixed on the run, which is when I need the mrp the most.

I agree, making your own is best... it's not difficult to do, you can control exactly what's in it (calorie and nutrition content) as well as the taste.... start off with some protein powder... I also use pasteurized egg whites..... milk or water, depending on taste and calories desired.... throw in some uncooked oatmeal for complex carbs... flax or olive oil for some good fats.... ANPB for extra calories... bananas, strawberries, etc. for taste and vitamins/minerals... off course, you can mix and match ingredients...

as an quick alternative, I'd use Muscle Milk... good proteins... good fats.. and some good nutrients.... mixed with water or milk (for extra calories)

Muscle milk taste incredible, but the MCTs kill my stomach....I was taking it prebed, but I stopped....maybe I should take it in my first meal to see if that works??? I've been doing the oats, egg beaters, skim, protein powder, splenda am shake and it tastes pretty damn good......

I would have to agree with Bruce410. The Berry Blast MetRx is one of the best.

I have been using the 7LB bags of Optimum. Check out... www.vitaglo.com. They have it here for $39.00 (Not pushing this site...hope it is allowed) Also orders over $50 have free shpiiping and it comes super quick.

The Op Nut mixes up well and have 45G Protein and about 290 Calories

Muscle Milk Cookies n' Cream..yummmmmy!!
I mix a scoop of Isopure protien (25g protien 0 fat)to up the protien, It ends up totaling 57g protien, 18g fat, 12 carbs ...and I can drink them all day long! It so much easy to drink them when they are tasty

Im with you on the muscle milk MRP...but i cant handle it either..

never noticed any probs with my stomach and Muscle Milk. I usually drink it for my 4pm MRP. that to me is the hardest meal to keep in check and get in. all others I can deal with. my .02. great opinions here though. k to all

When do you train? Maybe thats it.........I train late, have my pw shake and then had a MM with cottage cheese a few minutes before bed.....maybe because it was so close to bed, I wonder if I take it first thing in the am, cause raw oats seem to mess with me a little too....

i train 1st thing in the morn. 5-5:30 am. i usually have a bannana and 2 cups of joe before training, then my pwo immediately after which is ON After Max.That shit is great!! MM is strictly a MRP for me.

so what does your overall meal layout look like when you trainfirst thing?

VPX Superfood the best in terms of quality calories, check out the ingrediants its basically the perfect meal replacement. The problem...it tastes like ass, especially the graham cracker. I have offered many of my friends $100 to drink a graham cracker one and nobody has been able to do it.

Mega MRP Extreme (GNC) not bad taste 5g glutamine, 3g creatine, 6.2 grams leucine, and other aminos
cal-290
fat-3
carbs-11
protein-56 o and it a casin/ whey mix so i take it at night sometimes

you mean my meals all thru the day??

here's a link to my fitday journal, you can get a good idea of my intake there. also, i'm cutting now so my cals are down to about 2k per day, try to get @ least 50% protein 30% fat or carbs depending on the day.

meals are like this:

5am 1 bannana 2 cups joe

workout

PWO: ON After Max on weight training days or pro complex on cardio days

7-7:30 am
.5 cups oats with cinnamon and splenda with Pro Complex on cardio days
or .5 cups of egg beaters with 1 slice smt balance cheese and 1 tbls butter, or a little salsa to mix it up,on weight training days, and 2 slices of natures own sugar free w.w. bread on cardio days.

10am
either 5 egg whites & 1 whole egg or 1 cup low fat c.c.

1pm
usually 6-8 oz. of leftover meats from the dinner nite before either tky breast, leen beef, chicken breast etc....
4oz. baked potatoe or 1 cup brown rice with 1 tblspoon smt balance butter
often mixed green salad

if no time then a subway double meat chicken sub on wheat with just veggies and vinegar and oil, not the best but in a pinch it works

4pm
M.M. MRP or 1 cup C.C. depending on where I am, I sell real estate so i'm on th run, sometimes it could be a package of beef jerky and some nuts.

7pm.
8 oz. lean meats, tky breast, lean beef, chicken breast, lean pork loin with a big ass pile of veggies, usually 2+ cups, sometimes fresh sometimes frozen

9-10pm
depends on the calorie intake from the day, if i have enough I'll do a Pro Complex PM(casein) shake with 2 cups skim milk and 2 tblspoons ANPB. if not then I'll stick with a cup of lf c.c. or 5-6 egg whites and 1 whole egg.may even eat some more lean meat here just depends on intake and how i feel.

i also supp with multi vit, flax seed oils, vit-c, calcium citrate, sesapure, gluco

drinking @ least 1.5-2 gals of water per day.

thats pretty much it bro, let me know what you think. i have 1 cheat day per week usually sunday. i'm really strict on myself usually don't deviate much if any from what you see. for me eating has just become something i do to nourish my body.

any suggestions??

gautho its the bomb, i used to swear by mass tech vanilla cause we all know i need more mass. just can't stomach anything like that anymore. berry blast with milk and some ice cubes, crush them shits up add a scoop of muscle milk and presto damn tasty shake. i'll actually crave a berry blast when i'm stoned at night. thats how good they are. if you don't like em i'll buy em off ya. lol

When are you guys taking these? Postoworkout? Middle of the day? Prebed?

Oh, and I just got a huge free shipment of the RTD myoplex and myoplex carb sense drinks in...anyone ever had em? Thinking about preworkout, but that would be 3 shakes in a row...might be a little much! Thoughts? :coffee:

oh yea forgot to mention i keep a grip of Naked chocolate karma food drinks in the hizzy. you get 380 cals, 2.5g fat, 31 g carbs 24g being sugars. 25 grams of soy protein, and 12mcg b12, 2mg b6, soy helps reduce risks of heart disease, these taste like thick chocolate milk that you buy premade. they are not a great mrp for all the time cause they are expensive and its not enough protein for post workout etc...but i like to put one in a ziploc with ice and leave it in my car. i have a 20 min ride through the city to my condo from the gym. so i need that in me to not go catabolic. great to if you are not hungry and want some cals or if you are working, get at any health food store

Its true! VPX graham cracker products suck! Tastes like shit! But all in all their zero carb protein is very good!

This stuff is a product I never see on here, but I flat out love it. Why? Because when I say it actually tastes like chocolate milk, that it mixes VERY well with just a fork or spoon, and that you get a ton of protein in one packet, I actually mean it. It is affordable as well and for my money, this is the best MRP you can buy, hands down, PERIOD. I can't praise this product enough and no I don't work for them nor am I getting any kind of perk or payment from this company. I just find it is a rare diamond in the world of supps.

http://www.metabolicnutrition.com/advantage.phtml#

FYI, their protein is just as good.

I use ON 100% gold and add the foods i want love it that way .I also take two a day in morning and midday after work .

Hands down, I love this and to top it off it tastes like cake batter. I am a BIOTEST whore I love all of thier products. Here is a link

Ive never tried muscle milk but it seems to be popular. Isnt 8 grams of Saturated Fat kind of high though?

cut it out from the rest of your diet if its an issue for you

Banana Creme is the best

I chose the lean mass complex by prolab.

I am physically unable to carry multiple food sources around with me to make my own shake.

The vitamin shoppe didn't exactly have great selections and the other product with low GI carbs was using soy protein which I am not a fan of.

the relatively new "Protien Diet" from Optimum Nutrition.

The things I like best is that is comes in a jug instead of in single serving packs...I never did like the packs.
Next, The price is less than most all MRP's that I have ever seen or used...It is even a lot cheaper than when they packaged it in single servings.

Next...Taste is Great...especially Strawberry

Last...The ingredients...They speak for themselves.
Cals...... 200
Protien.....35g
Total fat..... 5g.
Carbs...3g
Servings per container...40
Serving size...48g

Well I need something with some "good" carbs in it and not cheap ass high GI dextrose.

And I can't lug a bucket of protein powder around on the plane.

my favorite is N-large 2, y does everyone stay away from carbs? i find them essential when trying 2 add mass.

I need carbs, but not the simple sugar carbs like dextrose or malodextrose. I need low gi carbs like wheat, barley, oats, etc... makes a big difference in muscle gains.

remind me again why you cant make your own?

Muscle milk RTD may be your best bet...........or try the new formula myoplex....all good carbs....

Muscle Milk! Mocha Joe mixed with a shot of espresso pre-workout is great. Other flavors are good as well. Some batches mess up my stomach but most don't.

Prolab matrix because the taste is great, and the carbs are from good sources like ground oats and whole wheat. The protein mix is good as well not just whey (which I think is way overrated anyway)....the rest of them are filled with crap like guar gum, aspartame, and gluten....all shit.

So you're saying he should just make his own. I think its the consensus of the thread. ( :FRlol: )
