Best exercise to get that shoulder cap?

If you're talking about the lumping traps, deadlift all the way. I never touch any kind of db/bb shrugs yet I have great looking traps and i credit it all towards my deadlift workout

Standing over head press is the compound motion for developing size in the shoulders. Side lat raises for sculpting the rounded center deltoid.

What is the reasoning behind standing over sitting? I suppose the extra balance helps your body tighten in general but curious if there is a direct benefit to the delts when standing over sitting? Thanks!

Unleard what you have learned....stand to do presses, sit to do side laterals....

Do it once and you will know immediately.

Standing makes OHP's a compound exercise from legs to fingers. This helps create a more anabolic environment in all your muscles, bringing about overall gains.

For side laterals watch anyone in any gym; bouncing, pecking (picture a bird pecking a tree) they're done completely ass backwards 90% of the time...sitting keeps you in line and focusing on the movement, keeping you from flinging your body all over the damn place and accomplishing nothing...

I'm not saying do 1 or the other ALL the time, but at this stage of the game no one should be doing the same routine all the time..
