Beginning Weight Training

For the past 2 years I've been interested in weight training, but have no idea were to start. I really do not want to join a Gym, at least not for now, until I know how to really build muscle and good techniques. 2 weeks ago I bought a Weight bench, and some weight, but now, were do I start?

I'm 5'9" and weight 230lbs, mostly fat. I've been practicing Martial Arts for the past 1 and 1/2-year and really enjoy it, but I want to do more, I want to get my body in a better shape, specially my chest and arms.

Can you guys help me get started? How many times a week should I lift, what should be the reps for each exercise, what is the right techniques to fast muscle growth. What kind of exercise should I do? And how do I know how much weight I should be lifting, I don want to lift too heavy and hurt me self, or too little and not accomplish anything. How long before I see any results.

A friend recommended for me to use "ANDROSTENEDIONE" to help my muscle grow faster, what are they, are they safe? Like I said I really do not know anything about weight training, so your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

First off, you really don't need any heavy duty supplements since your just starting out, because you are just starting out you'll be doing something to your muscle's that you've never done before.
secondly, you need to start out kinda slow, if you just right into things your muscles with be sore as hell the next time and you'll be in a world of pain. I'm not sure what kinds of weights you have so I can't really give you a routine but I would just get in there and start lifting some weight, but make sure it's not to heavy and I wouldn't do more than 5-6 sets per body part for the first week or two. After that you can either increase the weight or increase the volume but I wouldn't do both that early. As far as your diet is concerned I wouldn't really worry about that either, just make sure you get plenty of protein to start off with. pm me if you have any other questions or need any further advice!!!
