Ok, post up the prefs here, folks..

The "no fat and carbs at the same time" theory is pretty controversial and some nutrition gurus simply claimed it was pure BS

I tend to agree w/ that

This being said, bad carbs and bad fats at the same time is of course a no-no

i combine the two, my fats come from flax, PB and nuts, and my all my carbs except fo PW are coming from barley, brown rice or LG veggies. No fruits of any kind (SATAN SUGARS!) and really strict all around.

No fruits of any kind? I recent read the "Low glycemic index diet" book. And they said that the sugars in fruit are actually healthy sugars. And they don't not spike insulin levels quickly as what was once commonly thought. It says that fruits have a low glycemic index, thus are ok to eat.

As long as you arent spking insulin with simple carbs and combinding it with fats, it's fine........I consume fats/carbs and protein in every meal except postworkout.........from 6%bf to 11%......no difference.

JKurz1 is right as long as you aren't spiking insulin you are fine.

Thats my deal.. i prepack my three solid food meals with some flax oil built in...

I do it everyday: Oats and Flax. Chicken breast (it has some fat in it) with brown rice...

now, don go taking my statement here to the extreme and use it as a voucher to eat donuts (white flour, sugar and fry oil) or dig into that Super Supreme knees high.

sat/trans fat + heavy insulin load from high GI/GL carbs...then no

but EFA and greens pfft, who cares

I don't mix for good measure though, sometimes you can't avoid it cuz of the fat in meats/protein (minimal)

and the fructose in fruits doesn't promote an insulin spike because they can penetrate the liver instantaneously, make sure your liver glycogen ain't full ;)
