how do i know how much band tension i am using. i have read that you are supposed to have certain amounts. so how do u know when u have that amout. also i squat in the 300-400 range and bench in the 200ish range so what bands should i be using.

hey thanks for the link i had been to the jump stretch site but didnt see that. i already orded a band assortment so i would have all of them. they should be in tomorrow or wed i wanted to use them thurs for de squat day. does anyone else have some good ways to tell tension that are more exact and how should i adjust my weights on the bar. dave tate said drop to 50% is that what u guys and gals do.:fro:

hey man, i think you should be more concerned with bar speed than the actual weight the band tension adds.

how are you training? wsb?

hey i train wsb. i know that bar speed is the important part, but i was afraid of thinking i had 100 pounds of tension and wind up with 300 and injure myself. this question was mostly for my safety but as a side note just wanted some info about what people found for percents so i do get smashed and i figure those who use them would have a good idea of how they arranged their workouts differently with them due to the different tension.

hmm, well before you load the bar see how it feels with just the bands. As for the exact tensions you should be able to get them right from the chart. I alternate between more raw weight and more tension. I find that after a while of too much tension i'm slow out of the hole...so its good to mix it up.
