You remind me of my husband with your statements :D He works his arse off and it gone away for work a lot, sometimes months at a time. Granted he returns home for as often as he can and always for special occasions. I also work for a local cafe as a waitress but only a few short shifts a week. Some of the gorger girls at work talk crap about him because he's gone a lot, but we have everything we need and want and that's all that matters.
 
I know a lot of engineers that run North Dakota and some
Colorado stuff...they work for dirt cheap...no thanks

To some people, that's fuckin rich bro. Lots of people just south of the border are trying to move up here to get on gov't assistance just so they can live that well and not have to work so they can spend all the time in the world with their kids (yeah right).

Now they'd have no health care, no college funds, no help with material items -- but we'd all be close knit.

Would those guys be doing something even more noble than both you and I?

It would seem so. But they'd be foolish as hell. They could get on all kinds of gov't aid that guys like you pay for. And their kids could potentially even go to schools like Stanford for free. Fuck bro. You did it all wrong. We all did.

I was a fool too. I actually paid my mortgage. I could have lived in my house for over a year, maybe even two, without paying. Then I might have qualified for partial mortgage forgiveness and a lower fixed rate. But I paid my mortgage so that other people who couldn't pay could get all those sweet deals. Fucking sucker am I.
