For the last few months I have been mostly training by myself and hitting heavy bags and just shadow boxing. I realized this past week that this just makes us get better to a point, we kinda get locked into the same routine, whether it be personal habit or preference. So last week i was hitting the mitts with an old training partner and I got really winded quick and my strikes came really slow. I wonder why, i mean one round should not have me gasping like a beached whale
then I realized that when striking the pads I had to constantly move my feet into position and strike as my partner kept moving around me and tryed to strike me. So for those who hit a heavy bag try to get to a gym where someone can help you use the mits or get a knowlegeable training partner who can help as well. Bag training is good but is limited due to its stationary position and nonability to strike back, or give feedback....
So if anyone wants to come and train at my house you are more than welcome
