atrial fibrillation and juicing

I have a friend in his 50's, he's a strength coach and in great shape. A few months ago he started his first cycle and about his 3rd week into it he had an irregular fast heartbeat. He checked in to the ER and they used electro conversion therapy (you know, CLEAR!). He stayed in the hospitol for 3 days and the doctor told him it wasnt the juice that he was on that caused it. It was dbol/test/ deca by the way. Since then he dropped all caffeine, alcohol and ephedrine. Recently he felt another irregular heart beat but milder. I was wondering if any of you bros have had this problem or know of it? He also wants to know as do i if he can continue to juice and if so, what precautions or methods can he use to help eliminate or at least slow down another atrial fibrillation heart beat? I will be showing a printable version of this post, so all comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey monster, I'm no cardiologist (at least my reply will bump you up if nothing else though :) ), but this type of condition is not as rare as you may think. My current girlfriend (in decent shape) has a mild irregular heartbeat. When we first discovered it (she was about 25), we thought something VERY wrong was going on. What we discovered is that this type of irregularity is common, and nothing to be overly concerned with. The doctor seemed to think regular cardio would be GREAT for her, but would not cure her - it is just a genetic defect. One question I have though - your friend got the paddles?? That is VERY strange for just an irregular beat I think - that is more like a heart attack system, isn't it? I know that in some heart attacks (maybe all attacks) the heart races too fast... maybe the ER thought he was going into cardiac arrest?

Nothing odd about the paddles for AF. The trick is to get it quickly before it becomes chronic. Sometimes there is no real triggering factor. There are excellent medicines, tambocor for one, that will control it. Get one that does not shut down your sex life. And remember the real fear is that a clot willl form in the atrial chamber during fibrillation and may cause a stroke.

the same thing happened to me when i started my bulking cycle this summer, mind you, i was using a lot of gear (3 grams of test), i got really hypertensive from all the water retention, as well as difficulty in breathing especially at night, and sometimes i would wake up in the middle of the night hearing my heart beats-now that was plain scary. but thanking god that i'm a medical student i saved myself, i used Inderal 25 mg 3 times daily (a beta blocker- acting on non-selective receptors) for 3 days, then 25mg once daily for 4 days. if you cant get your hands on it, let him take Atenolol @ 20mg per day, start using nolva or arimidex to cut out intravascular edema, or even use amild diuretic like a Hydrochlorothiazide @ 10mg per day for 5 days.:)
