Asus Laptops as good as the Mudda Board?

Apple's are the best if you know your computers and you're willing to pay extra for severals reasons.

99% of viruses are designed for IBM, and therefore apple have few viruses that could affect the.

Apple computers almost never crash

You can pretty much get everything on an Apple if you look hard enough

Apple computers are faster, have a much better picture, and are excellent for graphic design

How you guys like Fujitsu?

I like the fact that you can pretty much custom make Dell and I think it's a good brand, but HP is def. better...

Fujitsu? not sure..I dnt think it's one of the top brands in laptops

Trust me stick with dell, hp or lenovo, laptops are good support is great all around good product.. We tested some acers basically because the are way cheaper.. The support is shit and we have already sent 3 of them to be repaired 2x each, thats roughly a week without the laptop.

Acer should stick to making monitors.

I am using vista at home on an hp laptop, dual core 64bit amd chip(dont remember which one but one of the latest) I think 3 gb ram, sata hdd it runs good. Dont run it on shit hardware though or too little ram.

I totally misread this thread.. I thought it said acer.. lol

I love asus mobo but as far as a laptop I am sure they probably make a good product given there track record but I would still stick with what is tried and true.

lenovo, hp, dell

Saw an Acer back in the days of Win95, but by the time I saw it, it had pretty much become a doorstop. It was typical of the era, heavy and boxy, had all the same parts anyone else had.

There is a tiny little Fujitsu (smaller than a DVD player), so small it's almost a joke, but it all hangs together pretty well. It's genuine Japanese, and there are not (as) many of those outfits left since the Chinese and Koreans moved in.

Lenovo bought IBM's PC business, lock stock and barrel, which makes them the gold standard unless and until they blow it. So far I hear they've been upholding the image okay.

A fire-breathing, coke-snorting beast of a machine will run Vista ALMOST as well as a machine only two-thirds as fast will run XP.

I HATE Vista. Too many bugs and makes the laptop a lot slower.

Does photoshop still not work with Vista?

Another vote here for the Lenovo Thinkpad line. They don't always have the latest and greatest features, compared to Dell, but anything you buy is gonna be obsolete in three months anyway. The Thinkpads are reliable boxes, the little red eraser head Trackpoint is the best pointing device in the business, and Thinkpads usually have reliable drivers for their hardware.

I keep finding some good deals on Lenovo but they all come with Vista... I'm not ready to deal with Vista yet! I will hold on to XP for as long as I can. I would take the plunge to Mac before I go Vista.

If I go Lenovo, I think I'm going to have to buy it with Vista and just load my own version of XP Pro on it...
Sucks ass..

I found a monster of a Fujitsu all maxed out, but it is way out of my price range.

The Dell outlet still has some Laptops with XP. I just get confused looking through the endless list of models.

I think all new laptops come with Vista now. I've used Vista and its not that great. It's slow and it's kinda boring.
