Are any of you training with current injuries?

If you are training with an injury, what is it and how are your working around it?

Also are you training with an injury on juice?

I will probably need surgery on my shoulder at the end of the summer...I was being an asshole and put 405 on the bench for a max and fucked uo my rotator, doesnt hurt too bad just a baad clicking sound.

I got it for 2 though
:p

About a year ago I was diagnosed with bursitis in my left shoulder... (though I think something may be tweaked with my rotator cuff) I will probably need to see a specialist somewhere down the line.

It hasn't affected my training TOO much... I just make sure to stretch and warmup well before working out. Occasionally I will lose a couple hours sleep due to the achy bastard, though...

I try to take a week completely off every three months of training or so. This seems to refresh the joints and get 'em ready for a little more abuse, lol! I'm sure most of us train through minor injuries and occasional aching backs, knees, wrists, etc...

I am pretty much injury free(knock on wood :D ) I have a little joint pain from my last cycle but it is a lot better the it was before.

Well, I tried to work around an injury I had in my forearm but several months later I payed the price and had to give it up for a while:-( The pain was TOO intense and now, having been lifting absolutely NOTHING for a month and have dropped 17 lbs (of course a lot of water), I'm still not fully recovered by far! :-(

My advice is: be careful! If it's anything that gradually can become worse - stop your training and give it time to heel or you'll be cursing your'e one stupidity - like I did!

solidspine, cycle is going well! I'm up 17 lbs so far from 400/wk of EQ alone... I actually just posted a cycle update thread.

And Ccrom, I agree about not putting it off... I will probably take a week or two off after my Clomid is done and see a doc to make sure my shoulder pain is nothing serious.

I slipped my disc (L5) about 2 yrs back and it still affects me.

Find squats give my back the most aggrivation, so I have to stick with leg presses alot more than I'd like too. AS haven't helped or hindered, except dbol which made my back pretty uncomfortable whilst jogging.

Just over the weekend I gotta my foot impaled on a spike (climbing a damn gate!), so I won't be able to work around this one, and have given myself a week outta the gym to recover properly.

I didn't get my back checked out after hurting it, and paided the price with a longer recovery time...

...so my advice: if a joint/tendon/muscle is giving you grief, get it checked out ASAP, don't just mask it with pain-killers like I did!

Peace
