Appetite Supressant- Reductil

Loths

New member
Brother.. Help me out here.... I am having a problem with losing weight... I have IRON discipline during the day, but at night... let say 3:00 A.m. I will wake up an gorge myself all the carb and fat i can... the discipline during the day goest outside the window... The thing that suprises me is that I will wake up to eat... sometims two times during the nigth.. i can guzzle one liter of coke (softdrink:-))

So i rationalize that may be a appetite suppresant for the night time migth help... so Reductil came in...so far, yes... it has curve my appetite.. but it aslo seem to be a mild deuretic (pissing allot) and can't sleep well... I know I should take the pill early morning.. bu my problem is during the night.. so I take it about 2 hour before sleeping....Beside.. Reductil have some shit side effects... From Depression to Prostate enlargement.. Shit.. worst than roids!!!

My questions is, is there a better appetite suppreseant than Reductil.. How about adipex?

Thanks Brothers!

The cravings you are having in the middle of the night have a reason bro.

What dose your diet look like during the day. Please give us a brake down.

hi All,

first post here so i've just been browsing for a while.

Loths, i had a similiar problem but mine was when i got home from work. At work i was fine, on my way home from work i was fine but as soon as i walked through the front door it's as if i opened the lock to my appetite and i'd just eat everything.

I decided to just go with my obvious body rythyms and eat very lightly during the day, if at all, and hop in to the food when i get home.

Without realising, i was following a diet very similiar to the warrior diet.

I train in the morning and I don't have a physically demanding job so as long as i take care of post w/o nutrition i don't see the point in trying to eat when i'm not hungry.

But when i get home it's just a feeding frenzy and i don't hold back. As long as i get my meat and vege's in i don't refuse a serve of desserts now and then and some carbs after this helps me get to sleep and fuels my a.m. w/o.

It's so easy and i'm dropping fat.......which is my goal right now.

I 've been training for over 20 years now so i just sat back and used my own common sense rather than what i've just read on the net or some magazine. You could just work around your natural appetite. The thing is to keep it to clean foods as much as possible.

Anyway, i'm glad to be a part of this site. From what i've seen so far it's a very positive and friendly atmosphere with plenty of good info.

Thanks for the reply.. something that I noted on me is that if I eat a big meal during the day, I will be sleepy all day long...I am the kind of person that can really go without eating the hole day and have plenty of fuel to keep going....

You sound a lot like me.

I normally have a slump just after lunch EVERY day that lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours but since i've been avoiding big, heavy meals i haven't had this problem once.

Not an expert on this but i think it has something to do with the way it effects your hormones. Whatever it is i'm liking how i feel so far!!

Right.... I do the same thing... small meals...and If eating Junk Food... avoid Soft Drink....

Well, gang... I have decided to STAY AWAY from apetite supressants.... most cause depresion, lower libido, Affect Mood, increase Blood Pressure... and many other nasty things.... Reductil did reduce my apetite... but at what cost?....Severly Depress... sadnesss... feeling like crying... NO WAY...

I am currently reading the GURUS (DUCHAINE) BodyOpus... good read.. plenty of great info.....I am maping my thyriod, will adjuste my diet and workout. I am take some thyroids... I have done some blood screen and waiting for results... will see!

One final note... and I wrote this before... the list of side effect os this anoretics is comparable, or in my opinion, worst that Testosterone at 250 mg/wk.

Not only are the side effects awful, but the rebound effects when you quit taking them suck. If you can find a way to avoid them, it's a good idea.

Loths - your body is looking for 'real' food to digest.
IMO you have too many shakes in your diet. Thats why your having cravings at night. Eat solid food during the day will help imensely.

Added to that, it just doesn't look like enough calories, period. Starving yourself is only going to shut DOWN all fat burning and trigger muscle burning, dropping your metabolism even lower and making it harder and harder to lose weight. You're starving yourself on powders, so you're gorging on garbage at night, when the body is only going to put that food on in fat. Plus you're spiking your insulin levels with HFCS. Knock that shit off. You don't need pills, you just need to start using your head.

This is what we tell the girls, and if it works for them, it works even better for boys:

Take your current body weight, multiply it by 10 if you lose hard, or 12 if you have a faster metabolism. That's the total amount of calories you need to eat.

Break those calories into percentages by grams, 40% protein, 30% fat, 30% carbs.

Let's say you weight 225 now. You want to lose weight, and think you have a slow metabolism so you start out with 2,250 calories. That means you will need to consume 225 grams of protein, 169 grams of carbs and 75 grams of fat in a day (remembering that every gram of protein or carb is equivalent to 4 calories, while every gram of fat is equivalent to 9 calories).

For gods sake stop being lazy, do some cooking and eat some real food.
