Anyone use Chantix to quit smoking?

I've heard from 2 people so far that have successfully quit smoking and another who is in her 2nd week. Both of the people that have quit said it took about 3 weeks for the urge to go away. Both said that after a couple weeks, they would take a couple drags and it would be so disgusting, they would throw it out. One even said a cig made her feel naseous.

So has anyone tried it here?

I've heard of it, and nothing but good. I'm gonna try it out next week as a matter of fact. The pharmacist told me about it the last time I went in for patches.

yea I got a script for it today which I forgot to mention. I have to try a couple different pharmacies to see if it's cheaper because I cant' afford $65/month for 6 months. The doc said I can take it for 3 or 6 months with the higher success rate obviously taking it for 6 months. I'm not sure if that has more to do with the increased length of time without smoking or a way for them to increase their profits lol

I have had two dear friends quit smoking thru a woman here in Toledo. They smoked 2 packs a day and stopped the day they left her office.

She charged $ 125.00.

I quit smoking entirely on June 5, 2001, I believe that was the year. I carried a bottle of water continuously and just took a swig any time I felt the urge. In two to three weeks my urges were gone completely. Haven't smoked anything since.

The urge to put your fist through a door lasts for the first three days. But that's shit you're expecting ... IMO the worst is about two weeks out, something stressful happens and BANG there's that monkey. You gotta breath through it for a minute or two then it passes, but your feet will literally ITCH to head to the nearest cigarette purveyor.

Thats how my dad quit. Actually I put him in a choke hold and he couldn't get his breath basck for a while after I let him go.
