Bro I just had the most intense workout ever a couple days ago. The whole next day and night I was pumped still. It was a shoulder day but I'll tell you what we did, you can just apply it to chest if you like, but you'll need a spotter.
Started w/ Military Press, Had 3 intense sets there, we decided to double what ever we stopped at. So if at 8 you could do no more by yourself, I'd spot you till you hit at least 16 (give or take depending on the conditions obviously)
2nd exercise we did 2 working sets just like that, our 3rd working set was just like the previous but the rack was full of 25's. So we did the same routine, except at the end we'd just take off a quarter every time. Basically on this last set it was lights out when you were done. Your spotter at this point also had a workout too spotting unfortunately.
3rd exercise was it, balls to the wall. 1 set to failure w/ spots until you hit complete and utter failure. 1 set drop set like the above style. And 1 final set of Drop set w/ the last one w/ a very light weight and trying to hit 50 by yourself. At first 25 was the goal, but I hit 50 then everyone tried to top it.
Very masochistic workout, if you don't know about "the zone" or "passing pain thresh-hold" you will after a day like that. Obviously you cannot work out like that continuasly, it's just a good throw in here and there. The best workout I've had ever to be honest... I'm still sore and feel swole still. If your muscle is giving you problems, this is good way to get over the plateu.
