I got an injury from the Army and now have chronic back pain, it can get pretty severe some times and i need presciption drugs for it. It's still pretty recent so im still getting paid a years compensation from the Army because i cant work. Im pretty worried whats going to happen after this years up if it doesnt fix itself up. Anyone else in the same boat and how is it effecting you?

Just waking up in the morning to face another day is chronic pain to me. I do have an anxiety disorder that is controlled by medication. You don't want to know what it feels like without medication.

same thing here, just the meds made me worse so I try to cope

I have a messed up hip from an injury while in the military. I have my good days and not so good days, but I try not to let it get in my way of reaching my goals. I still plan on becoming a cop and I plan on continuing to lift. Getting through the 'depression' part of the injury was the hardest part for me.

Sorry to hear about your injury.

I totally turn into a disable person when I walk past a damn beautiful person - I would all of the sudden forget how to talk, walk and just loose the sense of my direction.

yeah, i have a chronic pain...in my ass...caused by the three toed ghouls with trailerhomes for arses that call themselves 'chicks' that go to the clubs i go to

i try to control the pain with alcohol but sometimes taht just doesnt work :(

I broke my back in a car accident in May of 2000. Had a halo on attached to a lumbar brace and stuffed in a chair for 3 years. Once the fractures were stable and i was able to get around it wasn't so bad, but i think it didn't seem bad cause i was stuck in that stupid chair for so long. I've had a severe back ache for going on 5 years now but lifting is the only thing that helps it. Just do what your doc's say and the only thing that will get your back in order is a bit of time but it will get there

I have chronic back pain from a wreck that happened 15 years ago. I see a chiropractor twice a week and have a script for 90 Vicodin a month. As far as the effects, it cost me a football scholarship, lots of $, lots of overall misery. I have gotten a lot better over time and now I can pretty much function normally. Morning is the worst, sometimes I can barely get out of bed.
