its so much harder than it used to be lol. i can barely float. havent swam in 2 years, wondering if anyone else had this experience

I cannot swim bro. I sink like a rock. way too muscular, thats why swimmers are all scrawny.

I dunno the biology behind it, but from people have said muscle has higher density than fat. so if you carry way more muscle then fat you will sink.

yeah i think thats what it is. ive been keeping up with it though im def. getting better at it but i didnt expect jumping in the water and feeling like i almost forgot how to swim lol

idk about swimming bc i had life vest on but i tried water skiing weds and could not get up. the boat could not get going fast enough. last time i did it i was like 185 now 245..

I've been there. Swam competitively all through highschool... was never a big guy, but no fat either. Couldn't float back then, not enough fat.

Since I went from 150-190, swimming is entirely different. I still can't float, but man do I feel powerful in the water. I can't match the times I swam in HS (not even close, actually), but then I'm not swimming 2-4 hours a day, either. Still, the feeling of just tearing through the water is something I never had when I was small.
