1-AD @ 400mg/day for 4 weeks really made my hair thin out, too. My little brother thought I was going bald . . .
And so did I
Really, though, after 2 weeks into it, I could rub my head at any time for about 10 seconds and observe 20-30 baby fine hairs fall out. It was NOT cool . . . but then again, repping my old bench max 5 times was QUITE cool! And so was repping my old squat max 4 times!
The bench strength went away a couple weeks after the cycle, but this is probably because:
a) I tore my serratus anterior squatting too fast
b) I didn't do and rowing/shoulder girdle assists during the cycle
c) I ate like a pidgeon picking up scraps from McDonalds
(that means I hardly ate enough, and when I did it was CRAP).
After cycle I had gone from 240 to about 255, 10 lbs. of which I think was solid.
Also, I DID NOT taper off, and I DID NOT USE and Anti-E, and boy did I feel the Estrogenous backlash! I have nasty stretch marks around my hips and nips, and those lovehandles grew and grew! Should have known better, eh? Fortunately I don't have real fibrous Gyno, just fatty gyno. Ahh well.
I would TOTALLY do 1-AD again, under the following conditions:
1. I found out a way to make my hair not fall out (Nizoral 2% + Propecia?)
2. I had some Liquidex to use post cycle
3. I would run it for either 6 or 12 weeks, and I would have enough good food to either cut up (gain LBM, lose fat) or bulk (gain LOTS of LBM)
If done right, I could see a 12 week cycle of 1-AD giving most users a permanent 25 lbs. of lean mass, and sick amounts of strength to boot.
