I going to see if I can get to that level again.
For those of you that haven't experienced one yet, once you reach it you'll know.

For me it was when I used to run long distances, if I kept running through the pain and tiredness I would reach a point where my aches and my heavy breathing would would totally vanish.

It would be as if I just started my run, and could run forever. Its a very calming sort of nirvana state of mind.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has experinced this before in their training??

Not with weight training if that were the case I think it would be safe to call that serious over training.

My dad and I use to run alot and runners high was an every time thing---its what keeps you coming back.

I need to get back into it.:)

I've had runner's high once. during my run, my shin splints were freaking killing me, I had just gotten to a point were I was gasping down to a cool tempo of exhalex3, inhale, and repeat. I haven't been running for a while from being lazy. it was a good feeling though. after the run, my body had felt refreshed, regardless of the aches and pains my joints were experiencing at the time.

Everytime i train i catch a kind of high. My friends and gf think its somewhat odd and feel like i have somekind of personal issue. I work out 4-5 times a week no more than 60 min. After i leave the gym I have a big smile am extremely takative and friendly. I feel like i have no worries at all and all my built up anger and stress is gone. But if i dont go to the gym for about 3 days or so i get cranky.

Thats what I've been thinking, I've been slowly trying to work my way up to that point again.

Yeah its likea feeling of nothingness all at the same time. Its great, you feel invincible for a few moments. Havnt had one in 4 years

I used to swim distance freestyle (500 and 800) and the 200 and 400 im. They take a lot out of you, but at a big meet, I'd kick in so hard at the end I just felt like I was flying. When I finished, I'd just get out of the pool and feel like I could do a hundred push ups.

I miss that feeling, and hope to start competing again soon.

Didn't quite think you meant the feeling of euphoria.

I get that everytime I lift, its why I hate non-training days. Can't stand not going, I need my fix.

I've only experienced the second wind (which is what I originally thought you meant) with cardio. Where all of a sudden if feels like you will never tire and could keep on going forever.
