why, are most gyms closed New Years day as well

My gym is always open on holidays.
Only from 8-12 though but its good enough. At least I get my workout in.

I can't imagine being able to find a gym open, even if I wanted to train on Christmas. Luckily, my off-day is Wednesday, so that covers me for both Christmas and New Year' Day.

Same here, good luck finding a gym open in Canada on Xmas day.
