any hells angels on this site.....

I've seen a bunch of the angels at the bike events I've been to. They had a big booth at one bike show. Most of them are in their 50's or older and are "legitimate" business men now. Primarily onlly the young guys trying to rise through the ranks run the drugs now since the older guys know the feds watch them like hawks. The HA's don't bother you too much, the guys you really have to look out for are the "Soldiers for Jesus" emphasis on the soldier part.

Cheers,
Scotsman

I've known several HA's and I don't mind saying they were actually very nice people. As long as you don't fuck them off as an organization, they are generous, helpful, and overall great folks.

However. There is a criminal element associated with the HA's. Quite frankly, you wouldn't know about it though. HA's are very smart as and organization. They wear suits now, not colours. Colours are for ridin, suits are for workin. These guys are businessmen pure and simple. Under a microscope their businesses are definately...um...shady. Basically HA's know the golden rule. Don't shit where you eat.

To think of them as a bunch of hooligans on scooters would be severely underestimating them. To think of them as "behind the scenes" businessmen would be more accurate. Think of them as the Chamber of Commerce that you WOULDN'T fuck with.

Aside from business. I'd let the guys I know/knew babysit my kids in a second (even though some of them looked like the devil's apprentice...lol).

In Kalifornia -- it's even worse.

In our police state -- just being caught once with level III drugs, or even a gun or anythihg that causes a felony -- can mean a nice 3-5 year sentence.

HA's flourish in areas where there is lawlessness. Unfortunately few areas in Cali provide that environment.

Hard to have an organized, stable "club" when members are routinely locked up for 3-5 years and hence, out of operation.

So slowly, the HA's are becoming an "image only" club. Which -- laugh if you want -- really isn't a bad thing. There is no glory in being a criminal. They're going back to their *roots*. Being a *brotherhood*. Of course -- many in the organization, fueled by previous dollars -- are not happy being glorified mascots. Hence the flux and crisis going on. They want to expand, but there's nowhere to expand .. safely.

Most of the expansion is going on overseas. The Outlaws, Banditos and Hells Angels have as many if not more members overseas as they do in America. The Outlaws have chapters all over Germany, England, Norway, Australia, they are even in Russia now. 1% clubs have changed, but the brotherhood is very real and that's what it's really about.

Yep.

It's a reflection of a new reality. When territory is lost - new territory must be obtained.

Funny reading about how HA's now sport business attire, and regular clothes. When the origins of the club were rooted in rebellion and a message against conformity of the elite. Now they've become one of the same.
