Anti-War judge PROHIBITS foster teen from joining the Marines.

...Just because you dont think joining the military is honorable doesnt mean millions of other parents would agree.
i have NEVER said or indicated that joining the military is dishonorable, in ANY of my threads here. i challenge you to find a quote from me to prove your dispicable alligation!

DON'T PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH !!!!!!!!! :kaioken:

i DO believe that a dishonorable commander-in-chief is forcing honorable soldiers to serve in a dishonorable war. :worried:

Its presumptious to think we (or the judge) know the kid better than the foster parents who raised him.

If they fully support him, who is the judge to say otherwise?

foster parenthood has so many variables though...kids get moved around from house to house, etc. There is no guarantee that those foster parents actually raised him, in some cases the kids might've just moved in with that set of foster parents in the last couple months or so. At least judges have had to prove over the years that they are rational, intelligent, and fair decision makers in most cases

Doesnt mean that she has the right to decide what course this kid takes with his own life.

I kind of think she does, as long as he's a ward of the state.

Maybe its just me, but preventing him from doing something he has a right to do only because she disagrees with the conflict in Iraq....I dunno, just doesnt sit well with me.

Jesus why does he care? Spend my tax payer money cuz douchebag can't wait a FEW MORE MONTHS?!

I should be bitch-slapping that kid. In a few months he doesn't need no stinkin' judges.

Wow. This trial meant some 70 y/o grandpa somewhere didn't get an operation he needed.

Yeah, but we woudn't make a page long thread about a 70 year old grandpa getting an operation.

If it was a different Commander in Chief, would you still feel this strongly about making his decisions for him?

I tend to agree with you, but I suspect that as long as the judge presides over this ward of the state, she has the legal right to make subjective calls like that, just like a 17 year old still living with his parents would need their permission.

if we had a different Commander-in-chief the decision would not be there to be made :worried:

lol. no shit.

What if the judge is black or hispanic. Can't put that story on TV! Remember, that black female congresswoman who chastized America for creating 9/11 back in 2002. It barely made news. She's still in office.
