Anti-Progesterone Mifepristone RU486

I wouldn't touch it with Dostinex around. If you're going to run something, go with dostinex.

I dunno, I've heard a few reports of people taking it, its supposed to be a very strong anti progesterone(sp? yeah, i'm lazy right now). And it shouldn't be too harmful to men to take, it can be prescribed for stomach ulcers as a daily treatment... how likly and how often that happens i have no clue, but it can be. Mr.X knows his shit but if you find more info share it pls!

Dostinex doesn't do anything for progesterone. I would stay away from RU 486 as well. I thought people stopped taking that stuff a long time ago. To combat progesterone you can try nolvadex with winstrol or one of the suicide AI's like formestane.

Do you mean anti-progesterone, or anti-prolactin? They are different. Dostinex is an anti-prolactin. Winstrol competes for the progesterone receptor and can be used as an anti-progesterone at low/moderate doses.

"the morning after pill"

any1 have any info on how this drug would b taken by a bodybuilder? at what dose and how often?

To start dealing with low progesterone levels is harder than you think.

Youll have aching joints, sore muscles -because progesterone induces natural antinflamatory cytokine production-, and depressed immune system.
Experienced this from bromocriptine, which lowers progest levels somewhat.

Mifepristone is hard to obtain, because its used as abortifacient.
A chinese version is seen from time to time.

I've never seen anything stating that bromo lowers progesterone. Please elaborate.

It does, in fact it lowers progesterone so much that might be used as an abortifacient, see some studies at:

"Treatment of pregnant animals with bromocriptine caused a definable reduction in progesterone concentrations within 4 days of insertion of the pumps"
http://www.biolreprod.org/cgi/content/full/59/3/571

"the authors claimed success if the progesterone concentration at the end of treatment was less than 1 ng/ml"
http://www.animalnetwork.com/vpn/detail.aspx?aid=12585&cid=3880&category=

"The dopamine agonists bromocriptine and cabergoline have been used to suppress PRL (3,5,6) and, hence, progesterone in the pregnant bitch"
http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=339298

"bromocriptine (30-100 ug/kg, BID) and cabergoline (5 ug/kg daily) are readily abortifacient by virtue of their ability to suppress prolactin secretion and thus progesterone secretion"

love k

i used to want answers to this too, but i will just go with the adex/nolva to help with my deca cycle, as i've read that the same thing about progesterone being an antiinflammatory or some shit like that.

There is limited research of anti-prolactin products on the market right now. Basically, Prolactin brings about the release of progesterone from lutein cells. Thus, If you limit the amount of prolactin, you limit the release of progesterone.

CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY OF DOSTINEX
Mechanism of Action: The secretion of prolactin by the anterior pituitary is mainly
under hypothalamic inhibitory control, likely exerted through release of dopamine by
tuberoinfundibular neurons. Cabergoline is a long-acting dopamine receptor agonist with a high affinity for D2 receptors. Results of in vitro studies demonstrate that cabergoline exerts a direct inhibitory effect on the secretion of prolactin by rat pituitary lactotrophs.
Cabergoline decreased serum prolactin levels in reserpinized rats. Receptor-binding studies indicate that cabergoline has low affinity for dopamine D1, a1- and a2-adrenergic, and 5-HT1- and 5-HT2-serotonin receptors.

RU486 is NOT the morning after pill. It's rather an abortion pill. Very different and very strong. Stay away from that. Took it once with Deca and had the worst sides ever. Kindda like winny sore joints X 10.

YEP.. CORRECT..

The morning after pill is LEVONORGESTREL
RU486 (no longer called that name BTW) is MIFEPRISTONE and that is currently the only anti-progesterone available. as Mr.X said.. Take Dostinex along with aromatase inhibitor and you should be fine.

Theres some -limited- scientific evidence, that steroid-flu is progesterone related.

Will post it when have more evidence.
