Doing the Farmers Hold for time...it started off feeling easy then it would just all the sudden get HEAVY. I am hoping that these will improve my grip for the farmers as well as the hercules hold. I opted to do these today to save my back a little (not slip on the ice in the driveway) and to kill 2 birds with one stone.

Ohh snow

I still don't get how you get the bands to stay around your ankles on the reverse hypers - lol

I just bolt plates to my legs using a wire cable and dog clip:)

Had the yoke and farmers been out in the snow? Must have been quite cold out there.

How much snow did yall get up there? We got about 6-7".

Great pics B, with all that snow it looks like you're in canada....

The yoke was under the roof but the tire and farmers had been out in the snow. That made it interesting for sure. Not sure what hurt worse...the pain of holding the farmers or how cold that they were...lololol.

Nice work big man. You feeling like you are on track for the competition?

I sure hope so. I am feeling stronger on my events for sure. A couple weeks ago I was really worried about the yoke and sled drag too... I am feeling better now for sure.

Hey, looks like it is snowing in Kentucky, so you can make a lot of money shoveling snow, and you dont have to beg on the internet, and your family wont have to pawn the shack for your trabvel expenses! Guess it took a mensa member to figure it all out for ya! Youre welcome!

What is a yoke flip? Also, how much do those tires weigh? 500?

are they the same ones from The Strong Man Competitions?

Yoke AND flip...yoke walk and tire flip. Tire weighs 550 lbs.

Only one i see here begging for attention is you you immature ass

Whats immature about getting off your ass and paying your own way in life? I think its more immature to beg others to pay your bills, dont you? Isnt maturity all about responsibility and taking care of yourself?

NEVER ONCE....has clint EVER asked for money....EVER. People do it out of the goodness of thier own heart and send it to the man.

Clint trains in a 2 car garage, and just judging by the videos alone he MUST own a rather large peice of property to be doing those events on.

You are nothing, a waste of space, your posts will be edited shortly, and your account will be deleted. I foresee it.

Never post again, ever, you waste of life. The computer from which you spew ignorance from could be used to better the education of some needy kid. You should donate it, or take it into the bath tub with you plugged in...make better use of it then you are doing now.

Excuse me but, so what? As for your "points", you have to be blind not to see the begging. And what has the size of his ptroperty got to do with ANYTHING?

PS Are you also from Kentucky?

alright hardbodylawyer, why do you do this? some people are just insufferable jerks, why dont you just go on Jerry Springer if you want attention, I 'm sure with the antics you pull, someone is mad at you

Posts like these really eat me alive and nearly push me from leaving Elite.

No matter how good of a friend I am to many of you...what they say is somewhat true. Thanks for eating away at me (and I think I know who you are and I don't appreciate it from a friend either...).

Maybe I am a looser...maybe so. Maybe I am worthless...maybe so. Someday I will be great...I believe it inside.

I just want to compete and I have been gifted with the help of my friends.

My apologies to you as to the status of my character...friend.

Dude...its just internet bullshit. Dont take it serious, I kind of pushed your buttons because I know you are thinking the same shit...but the way you responded is cool, I wont fuck with you any more.

you're obviously not a loser, and definitely not worthless. there's always some idiot that gets jealous and has the nerve to post things over the internet, but would never say anything to your face. i hate that

holy crap, cheese is getting big. his calves are noticeably larger than those pics even a few weeks ago.

those sundays look fun. i need a sled so i can just drag stuff around (drooling over at elitefts for theirs) . closest thing i have is my car to push around i guess. but my girlfriend likes that too much. heheh. just sitting in there with the cd player on, steering. LOL

keep it up clint, it looks damn fun...but watch that ice. get some salt and throw it out a couple hours before your workout and then just hit it quick with a broom just before you guys get started. i know, i know not profound but....thought i'd try. :)

ive been out of the game for 3 weeks so those workouts are waaay out of my league, hell even my weak workout today was out of my league. i hate being laid up!

keep up the good work bro.

Clint have you ever though of making a reverse hyper?

I didnt like the band set up. It feels so different to use a chain or arm based one. It wont take much to make one that fits in the power rack....you will only go back to bands to get a mild pump

Cheese is getting bigger. The simple calf routine that we are doing is working...as well as the explosive training that we do with events. I believe that the calves need to be trained both heavy and explosive...

CCJ...what do you think about that??!!!

I am not sure how much weight that you can add to a WSB sled...not much I don't think...

Yes...I'd like a good reverse hyper but it would have to stay outside for the moment...lol. I could spend $600 much more wisely IMO also... Someday I will own one for sure!!!

I remember seeing a set up for the rack somewhere on the net...do you have the link???

Looks fun....not really:lmao:how long do your workouts last? are they all about the same, or do you tend to spend a little extra time on sundays?

My body feels broken down right now...still from Sunday. I did my Viking Press (overhead press) tonight and did get 330 x 2, 280 x 5, 240 x 5 x 2 sets, and 190 x 5. I am just exhausted...

Sunday's take about 3-3.5 hours. Most other days take about 1 hour to finish...

B True

lol First thing I noticed was how much bigger cheese-man got. Big up man. You guys are animals and I definitely look forward to watching and applauding the pain every Sunday. Keep it up.

b fold, youre awesome man, hella inspiring....thanks for all the pics too, helped out a lot to get a bunch on there to see

hey b...what are you feeding that guy?! It seems that hard work DOES pay off!

He eats 5 fairly large meals every day, sleeps 6-8 hours a night, and trains semi-westside with a little bit of rep/strongman/size ideas implemented into the program...just like mine :)

Although my bodyweight seems to stay around the same weight on the scale...I keep getting leaner, harder, and stronger.

Hi, b! Whattup?!

I'm going to take some space here and post a brief of what we did last Friday and last night. Hope it doesn't bore the pants off of you! I must say that I do feel sooooooo unbelievably fortunate to be able to be trained by both Tod and Julie. You're right, they're great people!

Here's what we did last Friday: Log Clean and Press / Axle Clean and Press
I'm the only chick training and performed the Axel. The guys used the Log.
I was able to do: 75lbs X 12, X 10 w/in 1:15

Tire/Apollon's Axle Deadlifts: 195x15 w/in 1:15
Tire Drag: 145lbs for 70ft - 1:11
As for this damn drag, we're dragging rubber (tire) on rubber (gym floor mats). Whoa. Very fun!

Last night: Yoke
Since we're performing this all in a gym, there isn't much room for one long walk, so we have to include turns. We walk 120ft that includes 4-turns.
Warm up with 200lbs.
250lbs in 1:03:16 / 1:13 (the second set sucked as I almost lost my footing - timing is key. As you probably know. You can't rush or the yoke will begin to swing and you lose footing AND valuable seconds)

Tire Flips: 320lb tire
10-flips (two turns) - :50:71 / :50:94 (however, that's really 48:94, Tod shaved off 2-seconds since Julie was telling me that I was done. The guys were performing 8-flips with the 475lb tire, and she forgot I was doin' 10-flips).
Deadlift Hold: Three 45lb plates on ea. side: 43:55 (ah, shit. Totally sucked on this one. I didn't better my previous time of 48:42).

Man, this has been a blast. What alot of people don't realize is that you can have all the strength in the world, but if you're not mentally prepared, all that strength won't matter. Gotta be mentally tough. That's for sure.

Julie and Tod have been sick, too. I recommended some Chinese herbal tea that I use whenever I'm feeling under the weather, and I think it's been working for Julie. She looked much better last night. And has been able to resume training. There's some really bad flu going around. EVERYONE is getting it, too. Yucky. Hope all is well with you!

Great to hear from you!!! Thought that you had left us for a while!!!!

I bet that yoke is fun with the turns...lololol. With the yoke...you can NEVER slow down...you must always be running qucker and quicker with it on your back. Never just let the weight sit on your back as it will swing A LOT!! YOU have to control the yoke...not the other way around. Start with super small steps then accelerate as fast as possible. Grab the yoke on the sides...NOT the top!!! Arch your chest out as far as possible and run like heck...if you can.

Remember on the tire...your chest should NEVER leave the tire!!!!

B True

Hey, b:

I was sick for awhile and after getting better, had to concentrate on training and artwork for a bit. That took me away from the computer. I'm pretty sure that what I had is what Julie is now getting over.

Your advice for both the yoke and the tire flip is right on. Especially what you said about the chest never leaving the tire. Makes total and complete sense. Julie and Tod were saying something similar, more along the lines of: keep the body close to the tire...." But you simplified it and hit right on target for me. Thanks!

Also, I know two guys who will be traveling to Boston to watch this contest (one does live in Boston, the other in Maine). I've already told them to cheer Julie on - I'll make sure they know to cheer you on, too!:D

Hey BFold - you ready for Boston Baby!!! You're going to have to fight me for that pro-card!!! I carried 375 on the FW for 70 ft last week and got 400 about 5 inches off the ground but couldn't finish it, was the last of the heavy days. Have a safe trip out there!!!

B Fold,

I just wanted to know that when I train lower back. . . I think of you.

I am sure to stick with

1. Deadlifts
2. Hyperextensions

How is the Viking Press treating me???

Just as always - like a baby treats a diaper!!! I'll be happy to get ONE REP!!!

I am hoping to get 7-10...who knows till we get our hands on it though...ya know? It all feels different. I knew that you had been having some pec/pressing problems for a while and was hoping (sorda...lol) that you were having better luck by now.

When are you flying in? I'll be there on Thursday evening...

B True

I'll be happy with ONE fricking rep on that damn viking press. If you get 10 I'll bow down and proclaim you KING!!! That would be something to see. My pecs feel fine, I just can't press - have never been able to.

My flight gets in on Friday around 12:00. I'll ask for your room number when I get in and stop by before the rules meeting.

for me to get 10 reps...the sun and he moons would have to align...lol. I do think that I can get 7-8...I got 352x1 and 280x7 this past monday on my viking press. Who knows till we get to use his...right???

Please look me up...we will definately grab a nice meal somewhere...
