CHICAGO (AP) -- WBO heavyweight champion Lamon Brewster made quick work of Andrew Golota on Saturday night, scoring a technical knockout 53 seconds into their scheduled 12-round bout at the United Center.

Brewster knocked down Golota three times with thunderous left hooks, the first coming 13 seconds into the bout. After Golota got up, Brewster continued to attack and knocked the challenger between the second and third ropes.

Then, Brewster (32-2, 28 knockouts) landed a series of punches and ending the fight with another left hook that dropped Golota.

Ok, I am a little tipsy right now, but I don't really understand why this event was reopened for betting after I had the date closed for an earlier time. I could care less about the karma. I always close my boxing events a full day before the match itself. Someone please explain this to me.

I am also insulted that someone had to pay everyone for me. When did I ever not pay anyone?

why would you want to do that?
I have some sites that won't even post fight odds until the day of the fight
I suppose you have your reasons but people were bumping the event beofre showtime and the damn thing was closed

The odds were set at 5:1 for my own reasons.

When I set events I always prepare for the worst. The event was closed and 2300 karma points were wagered on Brewster, which was a 5:1 payout. That means out of my 23,000 karma points, 11,500 were potentially gone. This would have left me with over 10,000 karma points after settling the bets, a number I can deal with. I was happy with the amount of bets and had no intention of opening the bookie event back up.

I come home last night to find I have 800 karma points and almost twice as many karma points stacked on Brewster, not to mention the event was already settled. I would bet the event was settled by someone else because they knew I wouldn't be too happy about this. WTF. If you guys wanted to bet on this, why didn't someone else open their own bookie event for the day? How can you have the audacity to re-open my event without even ASKING me?
