Am I Working Out Enough?

MonStar1023

New member
I am starting this new routine and I have COMPLETELY lowered my volume and started training legs again (a surprise to many members I am sure)...

I am probably going to be doing the following..
day 1- chest, delts, tris
day 2- quads, hams, calves, abs
day 3- rest
day 4- back, traps, biceps, forearms
day 5- rest
day 6- rest
day 7- rest

Or something along those lines I think.. I might go with every bodypart 2x a week.. but I cant decide??

:confused::confused:

monday - chest,etc etc

tueday - off

wednesday - legs

thursday - off

friday - back etc etc

sat - off

sun- off

i have used this..... it is very effective

I do the same thing as Exodus, only I'm doing a lot of cardio on the off days (some gym days as well). Can't imagine three days off of the gym every week though. What made you decide on this split?

Yeah I just started doing this type of split.. but I cant decide if I am training ENOUGH or not... I am only doing 4-8 TOTAL sets for each muscle group.. am I working out enough!???

:confused::confused:

I like the suggestion made by Exodus and gymtime.Alternating a training day with a rest day has always worked well for me, and you are hitting all your muscle groups once per week.Sounds good.

But I am cutting..

I am really going for maximum fat-loss.. should I just up my cardio to around 45 minutes o n my non-training days?

:confused::confused:

For me, my weight training remains the same whether bulking or cutting; low reps heavy weight. Although I've been cutting for eight weeks now and can't lift shit anymore, I still go as heavy as I can.

When I cut, I only make adjustments in my diet and amount of cardio. So yes, get in as much cardio as you can on your off days. 45 minutes or more if you can do it. I even do am cardio on some days when I lift in the evening. But losing weight has always been a battle for me so I have to do more than most.

Thanks for the reply gymtime... yeah losing weight is always a battle for me too cutting up always seems much harder then bulking up.

Bump-> for more replies.. I cant decide though if a Mon, Wed, Fri routine is enough to excellent results.. it seems like a beginner routine to me.
