Alpha Lipoic Acid Air Exposure

Does anyone have information on ALA and exposure to air? I have been hearing that ALA goes bad if exposed to air. Is that correct? I have just bought powdered ALA and I can't see how to take it without exposing it to the air. Did I just make a mistake by buying it in powedered form vs. capsules?
Please someone help.... Thank you..

That's what I always heard... ALA should not be left exposed to oxygen or light. So I bought the caps.
