dude what the fucks your problem? anyways, alcohol does inhibit protein synthesis, can cause unrestful sleep and increases recovery time because of the various toxins in your body. to be completely honest, im not a drinker either, but ill have a beer or 2 on the weekend and weed sometimes, but i have friends that drink every weekend and it doesnt seem to have much of an effect on their muscle growth. they are all stronger than me and i hardly ever drink, i stick to eating healthy and everything, but i know if i drink a lot it takes me longer to recover. from what i know a night of drinking can set u back about 4 days. this is just my 2 cents.
 
God damn someones on the rag... Bro I have a couple glasses of red wine almost every night with my pound of steak.. I always keep my water intake over a gallon per day and I rarely ever get out of hand on the weekends.. I can tell you this.. When I have drank in excess it takes about3-4 days to get my weight back up and my training back on schedule.. But ive been doing this for some time now and I consider myself to be in the upper couple percents of non-pro bodybuilders and a couple drinks is NOT going to hinder your gains... I would like to see anything or anyone that really thinks a beer or a couple glasses of wine in addition to a complete diet and h20 intake would really hinder your gains.... life is too short bro.. u dont know when its over.. have your goals but enjoy the time u are here...
 
OK, this post has gotten a lil side tracked, and some flame throwing in here too..... All responses are great, but what I'm really looking for is information on how long alcohol will supress protein synth...... Really not looking for a poll on who drinks, and who doesn't...... This might sound like a joke, or a "drink Free Card" post, but I'm really looking for the correct information..... I know the answer is out there, and doing a Google search on this topic isn't working out too well..... So, I figured I'd ask here.... I still have faith in the board.....
