For me it was 35. Started on Androderm patches, but due to insurance coverage had to switch test cyp this past fall.

My dad started his 4 weeks back and it's just kicking in. He's loving the energy he has gotten from it. He is doing 250/week self administered right now. Regular blood work allows me to check in on him and see if we need to tune anything as far as supports go.

I started Test Cyp with my doctor at 39 for low test levels, probably because of my previous cycles dating back to the Paleolithic era of widespread steroid use (NCAA 1980s). My total testosterone was at the very bottom of the "normal" range but there was some controversy over the ranges at that time, so I was able to talk him into giving me testosterone therapy. At first, he gave me the injections, but I was able to convince him to prescribe me for 10ml bottles of test cyp at the time. I would save up the test cypionate and supplement the test cyp for my cycles, and I would try to be "off" more than I was on. I went hog wild on PCT as I had learned in the past that this was every bit as important as the cycle itself. Unfortunately, I had to move, and now all the doctors will give me is the androderm which just isn't the same imo (plus, it is a sticky pain in the ass). My test levels now on the androderm are basically the same as they were back when my test was first measured. When I was cycling with the test cyp, et al, I felt much better, even during PCT.

A good doctor is a must, whether they are taking complete care of your needs, you are using their prescription + supplementation, or you are doing on your own. In fact, I was the one who got my old doctor interested in HRT for men back before it was mainstream. You can educate yourself and do your own HRT and/or AAS cycles but having a doctor track your labs and general health is a must. You will probably find that, if well educated, you are going to know as much as most doctors about the practical aspects of HRT/AAS. Similiar to pain management docs, HRT docs are mostly subpar docs who find they can make 2-4x as much money doing that over general practice. Let's face it - you pay them to write the scripts you want, and they take advantage of this to make rediculous money! Save yourself some money, and order your own juice while you have a good GP or Internist monitor you. At least, that is my advice for anyone living in the U.S. Avoid the moneypit unless you have some kind of amazing insurance I have never heard of ...

I only pay $110 every 4 months for my doctor visit with bloods done everytime. He writes 1 bottle for 8wks with one refill. The Testosterone and needles is $82 each time so I pay $275 every 4 months or roughly $70 a month. That isn't much at all and I would pay more if they charged more. This way I know I get pharma grade Test and my bloods are taken 3 times a year to make sure nothing is getting out of control.

Check out goodrx.com for test coupons. Test cyp is $41 at CVS and $43 at Walgreens. I have to pay out of pocket so it is really good for me to save $

Is anyone worried about blood, heart or prostate issues

No not at all. Imo its much safer and more beneficial to stay on a hrt dose then to let age take its toll on your body. The reality is that maintaining healthy test levels over time will drastically improve your health and well being and the way you look and perform. Hrt is the way to go imo. Its just a matter of when you feel your ready. Some feel the need to wait and others like me don't wanna waste time. The natural body doesn't come close to what the enhanced body can do and achieve over time. Do what makes you happy but don't just accept feeling like crap because you are afraid to be on hrt. Like I said we are all headed there its just a matter of when your gonna need it. You can have the best diet and training in the world but at some point low test levels are gonna start hindering you. If its wasn't safe there would be people dropping dead all over the place. I know people that have been on juice for many years and they are fine. Running crazy doses for long periods can be dangerous but low conservative doses longterm with the occasional blast is relatively safe.

Agreed. Been on TRT since 28. Did a lot of cycles in my 20's and shut me down permanently. Happy as hell since. Blast a cycle or 2 a year, otherwise just cruise.
