Is this a normal check for a doctor to run on men in the states, yearly check up or something, or only if you complain about tiredness and some mental/identety problems.
Doctors in my country would tell me to go fuck myself (aka drink alot of water, eat nutricional food and have walks and shit like that). HRT fuck I only wished. he he

no it is not a "normal" check per se..

things can be tested in a blood test.

I started HRT last year at 60. Had to pay out of pocket because my insurance would pay if I had diabetes or heart problems. It was worth it! I probably would have benefitted about 5 years earlier.
Do you feel alot better? how is your recovery? My dad is 65 weight trains everyday I would like him to start hrt we have talked about it and I almost have him there. I just think it will give him a better quality of life.

I started at 35 and could have started 5 years earlier. Gear made me realize I was fucked up. Head injuries growing up caused it. Glad I took the step!
I hear ya bro.I've had two head injuries in my days and am 35 y/o.The first one was a car accident in 1990 then I got in a fight in 1999,it was a 5 on 1 with some major boots to the melon.Although I was not knocked out,I still sustained a minor concussion.
Serial concussions are cumalative so the second one although not as severe as the first, seemed a lot worse, and the symptoms were worse and took longer to abate to reach an exeptable level of normalacy.
Insomnia, depression, anxiety and memory problems were all present, with anxiety and insomnia being the most intrusive and the last ones to dissipate.
Mixing gear makes various symtoms amplified exponentially.I'm doing pretty good lately, however I limit my intake to Test cyp@150mgs./wk and avoid all stimulants.
If you don't mind me asking, what were the causes of your head injuries? Feel free to PM me if needed.

I've had multiple head injuries as well. Only two. The first was when I was a toddler, a fall off of a supermarket shopping cart onto the tile floor. The second was in gradeschool, a fall down two flights of stairs -- but, not down the stairs, straight off the railing and onto the concrete floor below. That one required a few weeks off from school, I was puking even water, and they made me give my phone number and name every hour throughout the night.

Think this has anything to do with my horomonal problem that showed up as early as 13?

61 here. Testo was down to 300, but I felt fine. MD gave me Androgel and levels climbed. Didn't really seem to make a dif in my workouts or sex life.

Went to Anti-Aging Doc then. Put me on bio-identical topical and levels again climbed. This time I went on No Fast Sugar diet and the fat fell off while muscle gained. It scared my family. :) I loved it.

I've leveled off now and application is part of my morning routine. 4 blood tests a year. Everything under a Doc's supervision and paid for by insurance.

Me too. I started at 37 & could have started years earlier. May have delayed my diabetes if I had. I'd been working out for close to 10 years to little effect. I'm supplementing slightly higher doses than my Doc. prescribes & bio test levels are still below optimum (low normal), but I've had better results in the last 18 mos. lifting than in the previous 10 yrs. & no, i'm not overdoing it. I'm slowly getting back in shape.
