Hello. im 5'10 175 and 17....i trying to shed a few unwanted pounds by christmas ....im trying to do so with losing the least muscle possible and maximizing fat loss.....i need a good diet obviously to go with the cardio......advice?
 
That frame sounds about right unless you are holding some fat in your gut.

You need more then a good diet and cardio to keep your muscle. You need a good lifting routine along with that, a good HEAVY lifting routine. What is it, two and a half weeks before the Holidays?

You could do cardio 6 days a week with a good diet to lose weight, but honestly you really aren't going to probably get what you want within two and a half weeks to keep muscle and lose fat.

How many times are you going to ask the same question!? All the info is out there for you, do a little research and you'll figure it all out.

Good point. He has been asking for us to give him specific workouts, specific diets (ei telling him exactally what to eat for each meal etc) and such without really any willingness to read anything on his own.

I think he wants more specific advise. Measurements on all the food. What kind of seasoning to use. Reciepes for cooking them. What time to eat. When to work out. What kind of reps. Exactally how much weight to use on each set. What time of day to work out. When to shit. What type of toilet paper should he wipe his ass with. The guy needs advice man! Not vague answers that are subject to interpretation.
