Advice? My legs are my enemy!

When Spatts gets there, she can show you how to really work your hamstrings.

Just avoid calf work for now.

What kind of minerals?

I try (when not being totally forgetful) to take Ca and Mg. Have a history of bad osteoporosis in my family.

(Perhaps the only good thing about carrying extra weight.)

heh, maybe you can help me with these tricep exercises, too. I notice a BIG difference in my strength back there but I always feel that my posture sucks and I am never doing them quite right.

More specific please. Many types are not absorbed well at all. If they are at the very least chelated (should say) then they are probably going to waste.

stretching is one point but are you eating alright? when your body is lacking something it is easier to get hurt... do you do a pre-workout meal? take protein shake during workout?

Nah. They are all pretty much made from shale. Never really had the time to do an assay.

The thing that I notice most is that using collodial minerals, especially calcium, is that I am far less subject to cramping. Otherwise my lower back never seems to quit, given all the abuse I put it through.

I need to exercise on an empty stomach or I feel sick sometimes.

No, my diet is crap lately. I am never home more than 2 days at a time!!!

Hopefully it will slow down after the 4th and I can actually cook some stuff.

I have to draw the line here.

I come home to relax and have a life, not to spend 100% of my time doing chores.

I used cook food in advance all the time. And all I did was work and do chores, work and do chores, work and do chores.

It was no life. If that is all we ever have time to do, why even be here? My life is about more than hafta-hafta-hafta activities that OTHER people think we "should" do.

I spent enough of my life doing nothing but work. I want time to spend with my boyfriend. I want time to write. I want time to go walking in the park, go to the pool, watch the rapids. This is life, not housework-chores-laundry-shopping-cooking-dishes-hurry-hurry-hurry, 'cause-I-gotta-go-back-to-work-in-two-days.

If this sort of life works for you, more power to you. It doesn't work for me. If the price is that I am fat, fine. I can deal.

What sort of things do you make?

I used to make all sorts of stuff. (I wasn't trying to cook bare-bones protein-rice kinds of stuff then.) But between shopping for it, unloading it, washing it, cutting it up, cooking it, and then cleaning up the mess, it amounted to an afternoon at least. Then there was the laundry and all the other chores. All I ever did was work. It sucked.

I had a "cot job" then, too. By which I mean, "Bring a cot and a hot plate, 'cause you ain't going home anytime soon."

Troll, I don't cook everything in advance, but I do make sure my husband and kids eat the way I do. If they want to eat other stuff, they're on their own. My husbands's a chef, so he doesn't want to eat fake food=I never buy processed stuff, stuff in a box, frozen dinners, etc. I do plan out our meals in advance for the week.

I buy only skinless, boneless chicken breasts, marinate them and freeze them in servings for 4. We eat huge salads and lots of green veggies. I cut up cukes, peppers, etc. and have them in big zip lock bags in the fridge. I make gallons of pasta sauce at a time, freeze in ziplock bags. If I don't want to eat pasta and they do, I'll have my portion of sauce on eggs.

If I make rice, I make a huge batch and stretch it out for a few days. If they want to have something I don't want to eat, I have a shake or something I've premade.

Yes, I do spend one evening or afternoon a week cooking or preparing, but my kids help me. I shop at Cosco and always buy huge quanities at the grocery.

I eat an Isocaloric diet which means I eat equal rations of fats, carbs and protein. It's easy to live in the real world this way and it works for everyone else, too.

Not to delve too much into this, but I've seen this pattern too often: if you're doing all the chores, working and trying to take care of yourself, it's too much pressure. You might need more help with household chores or to out-source them.
