Sorry - I've been out of commission for a while thanks to my comp and Christmas. Thought I'd answer a couple questions - this was a pre-comp picture, one week out. Mr. Stamina - I was supplementing with glutamine (20 grams/day), EC 2-3xday, yohimbine HCL (on low carb days only), multi-vitamin, calcium, magnesium, and potassium. Oh, and protein, of course. I've since added vitamins E and C, creatine (3 grams post lift only) and dropped the EC and yohimbine, now that I'm no longer preparing for contest.
JJ, do you ever get sick of your diet or are you always creating new ways to eat clean?
I do not eat red meat or pork so my diet is either poultry or fish and that can get dull at times.
Also, I am having a bit of trouble with patience. Do you think it is possible to see a significant change in body by say, March. If I really buckle down with the clean eating? I am going for bf around 15% as of now I am about 24%. My abs are there(outlined), just not filled in like your beauties! Just wondering about a realistic time frame.
I am also puzzled about abs, before comp, abs are so defined. Is it the supps that do it? What happens after comp to abs? I know they are still there but not as defined?
Sorry for all the quest, but I am facinated. Great work!!!
I actually don't do isolated ab work - the multi-joint exercises I focus on work my abs enough I don't worry about isolating them. The only "ab" exercise I've been doing once a week are straight leg raises, and that's really to help strengthen my hip flexors. And I do lat dips aka serratus dips on my bodyweight/assistance work day, but again, my focus is really on my lats.
The rest of it is just diet. And I've ranted on that subject enough during this diet cycle, so I'll leave that one alone.
