AAS and BULKING SHAKES?

Well, after going to vitaminworld (just to rack some brains), the gys there said Yates formulas didnt sell for shit. They were all against the Maltodex. too, but then said cytogainer was a huge hit. I looked at its ingredients and it just doesnt seem as good as Dorians. Then I found the MHP Mass, ingredients were damn good, but the dude said the taste usually is subpar.....so what are your thoughts? Make your own? How do you feel about Musclemilk?

i use the muscle mlik and get good gains and yields good recovery for me.

I know since following JKURZ, hes only looking for a TOP notch MRP. He/and myself, are looking for LOW-GI CARBs, and protein isolates in the MRP. He has picked out some good ones, but cant seem to narrow it completely down.

do u think its almost as good as meat protein/low gi carb food?

MY DIET is 100% on @ 40/30/30, and all real food, so im kinda getting tired of eating all damn day, and i would like 1-2 meals as a MRP.

So if anyone know any MRP such as *the master* said with LOW-GI carbs and GOOD PROTEIN SOURCE.

Funny how people waste money buying over priced junk from a store....When food is the key.....Nothing better then steak eggs veggies ect...and plain old whey...If yea aint going maybe you shouldnt read so many sales pitches on products...and stick to what really works.

The only time I would suggest a Meal-Replacement Shake, is if you COULD NOT EAT every 2 hours due to WORK.

In this case, I would MAKE my OWN:

2 Servings PLAIN OATMEAL(60grams carb)
2 Scoops of Whey(40grams)
Half cup SKIM MILK
Half cup WATER
1 Splenda
Ice

works good. I used even before AAS and is great for bulking. However, you have to have other protein as well. Stupid people think drinking a couple proten shakes a day will give them gains. YOU HAVE TO HAVE HIGH PROTEIN MEALS>>>MEAT....does a body good.

Just pop your oats into a food processor and then put them in your shaker - I do it everyday and it works great.

With a blender my recipe is 1tbsp ANPB, half banana, 2 scoops ON Whey, 1 cup oats, and water and ice. Usually have 2 a day, 2nd one has less oats - usually a half cup.

Yeah, that works if you don't have a job, and if your Ectomorphic..... Endomorphs like me can't eat that much food in a day without getting fat.... I get 5-6 meals per day, with about 40-50gms of Protein, nice amounts of Sat Fat, and Good fats..... I keep carbs as low as I can no matter what time of day, except pre/post workout...... This type of diet keeps me pretty lean, and I can grow/maintain muscle pretty well..... Your diet is about 4-5k calories per day, which I might do if I'm on a bulking cycle, but that's the only time..... Too many calories, whether on AAS or not, makes me fat.... It's the Curse of the Endomorph.....

do the oats make it gritty.........I know, "suck it the fuck up", but do you all soak your oats before to soften or do you man up and down the nitty gritty. I am sure it is good, lived off MRE's for 10 mos I know I can take it

nix the honey and banana.....add another 1/2 cup of oats and bump to two tb of pb....sound better?

I think it's just cause most guys can't man-up and shove food in their mouth (literally) at times when they aren't hungry.

It's all about how bad you want it.

1/3 cup egg whites
1/4 cup frozen mixed berries
1 banna
1/2 cuo oatmeal
ice and water........blend it up.....add 1 tsp flax oil....give it a stur

1.5 scoops protein
4 tablespoons all natty PB
3/4 cup oats
1/2-1 cup skim milk or water

in between meals.....easy to add 2k cals to your daily food intake without much work!

You can mix ANYTHING in enough of a quantity and it'll be high calorie.
How the hell can you even drink something with oats and peanut butter?!?! :spit:

These suggestions would leave you so stuffed you would eat LESS overall food.

The key is to use things beyond calories that will put on mass. In that regard the absolute very best product has not been mentioned. It is the ONLY product which contains Super plasma protein, creatine, NO2, HRS, and oganic whole egg. Add it ISN'T FILLING.

Oats and peanutbutter blended well comes out smooth as a normal shake does. You cant taste the oatmeal and I LOVE peanutbutter. I eat 3 of them EVERY day and It always helps me get in those extra calories. If you want your goals then you will do ANYTHING!! Not like drinking a shake is so hard anyways. Being full is a mental thing you can train yourself to STUFF!! Thats the only true way 2 put on mass. ENUF said...no one can tell me different.

But I'd imagine you'd be as full as if you ate the oats and peanut butter. So why not just eat them?

Shakes are meant to be taken in between meals for extra protein and calories. If you're going to that, doesn't it make sense to use one that'll give you what calorie rich foods can't?

Pure Karbolyn is by far the new best Carb-up. Add protien or something easy like Aftershock and that has made a difference in my growth.
 
Interesting topic. Iv looked at nearly every weight gainer on the market and I always used to buy gainers but they are very expensive and your money is basically going on sugars and poor quality carbs rather than protein. Universal Real Gains and Cytogainer were my favs but its very expensive for whats actually in it. I agree that its easier to just buy a gainer, i used to because i didnt really have time to eat all the time at work. But you are way better off making your own, saving yourself money and more importantly supplying you body with a better nutritional shake.

I buy Dymatize's Elite Whey protien or 100% Gold Stanard by optimum. Each scoop (30grams) contains over 5grams BCAAs, 4 grams glutamine and 24gs protein.....70-80 servings per tub.

A weight gainer will contain 100+ grams of sugar (usually maltodextrin or fructose) and 50 grams of protein and around 10grams of fat. Why would you pay your hard earned cash for the majority of the calories comming from crappy quality carbs when you can just mix 2 scoops of protein powder with some skimmed milk (which will give both fast and slow released protein), oats/peanut butter or flax and some fruit - supplying you with 50+ grams protein, 12+ grams BCAAs, 10+ grams glutamine, clean carbs, and good fats. Its way cheaper and alot healthier than that processed garbage.
 
There is an excellent 4 month gap between postes right up there. :)

Pre: 2 scoops of On Whey Double chocolate(48g of Protein)............and a banana.

Post work out: 2 scoops of On Whey Double chocolate(48g of Protein)............2 scoops of the Now Carb powder(50g of M Carbs).and then I eat an hour later
 
Yes, I brought this subject back up. I am on my 5th week of Pure Karbolyn I am now up to 216 from 206 and I am not getting fatter but sure as hell stronger!
 
cyto gainer is good shit bro, i used it in a couple of cycles. also true mass from bsn, thats good stuff also. They can get pricey. Y dont u try just adding stuff to your shakes. I use whey protein, add a banana, 1cup uncooked oatmeal, 1 heaping tablespoon of peanut butter, 1 cup milk, 1 cup water, 10grams creatine monohydrate. You can add lowfat yogurt, ice cream, etc.
