It is very strange. Me being able to get a weight on the pull is greatly determined by my speed. Pulling from this height greatly cuts down on my speed...a lot!!!!
Not for sure how effective this lift is for increasing your deadlift...but it MAY be like finding the board press which is hardest for you and doing it to bring up your bench press. Does that make sense?
You might be able to find the certain position which is hard for you and train it often to bring up your sticking point on your full pull...maybe.
