Notes: Ive slept in to 630 past two days unable to get out of bed, also b/c I really didn't want to. I was up at 230 kinda ill again this am though. CK no Im not preg. May have to do with recent blood work issue but nothing serious, oh, for those who asked, im updating here, cancer doc appt went favorable, other issues aside, none were related to the cancer coming back so Im happy about that.

LOL I WISH just got back from the gym :) workout was SO boring OMG... head not into pm training quite yet. Ill have to catch the finale if I missed it! Miss you around here. and AWESOME JOB on the 30's dang! That's great good for you & keep at it! :)

It's the final 4 now, the final show when they go on their own Im guessing is next week. The 400 lb'r got rid of his diabetes without meds, thru diet & exercise. It was friggin awesome. That guy made me cry a bit last night. I didn't catch the show from the beginning though. Maybe they will have reruns on demand or something.

My wife cries at almost every show. I don't cuz I'm a man, LOL.
No matter what, it is inspiring to see these people regain their dreams & self esteem.
 
I don't like the title of the show "The Biggest Loser." That alone is setting the tone. As if someone has no value because they are overweight? That is shallow. And then it seems that their lives are so much better now that they are deemed "pretty" etc by the judges. That is lame to me. How many self absorbed people are in the daily pursuits of vanity only to exist as empty shells of what they could have been? Too many.

I totally agree. It's really amazing, even though I think the scale weigh ins can give them a skewed sense of reality, but it's like the climax of the show that gets the most attention so why would they change it?

I thought that too about the name, but when you watch the show, you get the meaning.
For people who are fat, it isn't just what others think, it's what they think of themselves. And it's also about enjoying an active healthy life with your family. These people aren't vain (well maybe a little), but want to be healthy & fitter.

LOL that's pretty cool. My dad still thinks women should look "Rubenesque". I don't think he would survive one of my competitions. I still have issues discussing protein intake w/ him.

That's ok, I gave up waiting and finally cleaned my kitchen LOL. I will let it slide this time. and LOL at Who is T, hee hee!
 
Today was cardio only... a.m. ... floor trainer unplugged me mid session on the ellip SO i restarted it ... Im guessing 55-60 minutes b/c I was trying to study. Tweaked my back again so i kept it easier today, lower left, SI area .. ugh. *shakes head* Rolled it out on the foam but I think I need an adjustment.. last time it was like this the difference was about 1 inch off in my legs .. seriously whack.

Food was great today & last few days. Cals low though ... Only got in 3 meals so I went to P's and ate some gnocci my mom made with cubed chicken, broc & peppers cooked in EVOO & basil.. YUH-UM! had ONE glass of wine, caught a slight buzz... weird. Oh also a few of those individual twix bars ... blast from the past.

Back to work tomorrow for a few hours.. fun fun fun. Enjoy the weekend everyone! Ill be around.

I really like the serenity of being at the office on saturdays but 2 of the bosses came in so I bolted as soon as I could lest I get stuck there all day.

I should hit arms at the gym today, not sure when or what time but eventually I will drag my butt there.

I slept in today, but I didn't crash until after 1 so I guess I just got my normal 7-8 hours ... bah.

Bratty pants in full effect ... issues with my cell phone are full blown and really upsetting me ... on a package, cant cancel, cant return & cant do anything without my bro there, all 3 batts are dead, when I make a call the full batt drains in seriously 5 minutes, NONE of the 3 chargers work, but work on C's (same phone) so I KNOW its this refurb'd phone they sent me, that I cannot return anyway or send back without dealing with the idiocy of sprint which I refuse to do after the last 5 strikes they have with me. Besides my bro has to do it and he doesn't have time to deal with MY issues. If it didnt cost me like 200 to cancel my line I would so do it, but then id have to spend another chunk of change to get a new one compatible to the one I have now, not forgetting a decent phone. I just dont have it.

I also had cell phone problems this week - and yes, they are so frustrating! :redhot: The #7 and #8 on my keypad wont work anymore. I took it to the cingular store where I had to spend an hour waiting and they were able to fix the #7, but not the #8. So essentially my phone is useless because I can't now dial any number which uses the #8. GRRRRR!!! :redhot: I had a spare clunky Nokia at home so Ive just transferred service over to that. I dont care if it doesn't look cool and slick :rolleyes:

Why no supersets if the gym is busy? I like to make the little "reserved" signs you see at restaraunts, etc, and place them on everything I plan to use

I typically only need one sign...... for the power rack.... :p

You cannot really reserve equipment. and if I tried someone would hop on it if it wasn't being used, like I would :) I try to practice what I preach BUT I would say "sure you can work in with me" as I waited for my next set. :D

It's pretty busy with all the HS kids there at night, esp the benches, weird with the way the gym was reorganized (new equip) ... I like to keep to myself and not look at or talk to people, esp when Im in this type of mood. If I wanted to use an OLY bar to do rows, either upright or Pendley etc... I couldnt drag it on to the floor b/c there is not room for that. I would have to do them in the Power rack as long as I didnt see anyone Squatting. If I used the preweighted bars then I could stand in that cramped area at the other end of the gym where the Bicep crew usually hang out. I just do NOT like training at night & it's taking me alot to get back into it... weights AND cardio... :rolleyes:
 
Totally feel ya. While the $80 a month keeps the HS kids at bay there are plenty of clubbers using the gym as a pick up bar IMO. Not to mention the benchers - especially on Monday which is National Bench Day I think.

This is why I love to deadlift. When I leave some shin skin/blood on the bar it's funny how no one wants to use it ...........

LOL eww lol. Well both gyms are kinda $$ so these peeps mom & dad have the fam membership & pay for the kids. Now at my original gym, anyone under 18 or even 23-25 is sparse, and I LOVE IT, no one who works out at Cardinal, xsport or lifetime around me understand why I dont hang out a gym with people more my age... lol You have to be kidding right?! That is just NOT my mindset at all. Guess Im the odd one there.

Thanks! Yes I did see it. I have no problem with people cooking me healthy foods :chomp: Trying to see if I can swing a business trip out that way in Feb so Ill let you guys know.

What?!?! You don't have 16 and 17 year old's licking their lips as you bend over to pick up weights.... SBT LOL... The young one's just adore her... Oh and the 15 year old who grabbed the stability ball and was bouncing up and down on it as he watched her do calves.. I thought he was going to bust a nut the way he was hopping... LMAO

It would be nice to be young again, to stare & not feel weird. Us older guys have more discreet ways of observing.
The one gym I've been frequenting lately is close to 2 Universities. There's a lot of dedicated young ladies there, but there's even more dedicated young men following them around. Actually kinda funny to watch.

Yeah but they were at least in their early 30's and not jail bate!!! The best part was I'm facing into a mirror and could see it the whole time. Hanging from bar watching these two on the seated calf raises look at each other smile and then act like they were doing me on it.. MEN

Trei,l remember the guy who trained in the utility gloves ... lol they didnt have towels, jsut paper towels and sure enough he asked me to have some of MY sweaty ass paper towel ...lol it was the most bizarre thing to me but T is use to all this .. I was kinda shocked like did he really just do that?! Im looking forward to the experience with you two for sure lol

I want criticism, not sugar coated fakeness. Maybe a dash of splenda or some cinnnamon on top to help the tears from flowing, jsut for a sec though.. it's all about the end result and the path that gets me there. I don't know what gym or land you are in..... The older guys' ALWAYS were the ones that hit on me last year while I was working out. Stopped me in the middle of my work-out all interested in what I was doing. Older guys' and black guys'. The white guys' my age basically just watched and were like I can't believe they are bothering her. Only 1 high school kid who was pretty dang hot actually and did NOT look like he was in H.S.
Now it's a mixed crowd at the new gym.
Men NEVER change they get sneakier yes, but the games all still exist....
