Well, I broke down got the T3's and I actually lied down last night with no pain once they kicked in, but then I couldn't sleep so it kinda defeated the purpose. It was like I was drunk without the annoying buzz.

LOL OMG DO i NEED IT!!! so thank you!! and thanks about the school... I cannot live with regrets but I often wonder where I would be if I didn't bail on Medicine... :( Door closed window open... My new career will find me, whatever it is. I go looking for it I get lost along the way. Once health is in the clear I'll have a better picture on what I can do.

School, Jan 18th. I have to retake all my sciences so I am starting with Biology and A & P with cadaver :) Love the dead bodies. I also signed up for the CPR course to get a credit & get that out of the way .. I need it for my NASM cert anyway. and it's cheaper to take it through the school. :) 9-5 on a saturday, ugh 8 hours my ass hurts thinking about it.

My brain doesn't function like it use to so Im kinda nervous about the load but I cannot withdraw from any classes or they won't let me come back for another year. That's motivation enough for me.
Ahhhh I wanted to go see that body world exhibit that was traveling...Hmm
8 hours CPR?!? Mine took 3 and that included first aid and AED training and cost $35.
I miss Anatomy class, I love it!! You'll do great!
 
If it helps I completed my MS Computer Science at age 28 & my MBA when I was 30.... If I tried to do another degree now I think my brain might explode.... its weird going back to school but I think when you have a specific purpose and aren't caught up in the "college lifestyle" you get much more out of it...

YUP on a saturday. One sat & it's done. I think the other classes for the red cross are $45 and 4 hours. They may be over compensating for class size but who knows. :)

I love looking at the organs & tissues, it's so cool to me once you get past the fact it's a dead body, not like blood & guts so it's all good :) :rose:

I want to complete something I am passionate about, enjoy and will use in life. I always go back to science, even more so now. COme Jan. training is going to be kept to a minimum for several weeks so I should be able to ease back into it.. although working full time is going to kill me. Having a part time job (side job) & going back to school is frowned upon where I work... lest I leave & move on. I will also probably NOT make as much $ as I can here, and end up selling my condo. Being almost 30 & living at home is somewhere I never thought I'd be but whatever it takes to make a happy career move... Ahh I can see the future. :D

Thought about that MANY times!! Each step though is a risk and kinda is fun not knowing where exactly it may lead!

I know, a career you enjoy, or are even passionate about, is way more important than money (within reason).

Sounds like you have a game plan. I moved into my parents place for 2 months at age 39... whatever it takes. And they will most likely love having you ;) My problem was less living w/ my parents & more living in the way north woods w/ no one around that I knew and no gym unless I went over state lines 30 minutes away.

LOL ya that would suck lol. I am very spoiled with convenience here and that is why I chose to live where I do, same with my parents. They have always given me extraordinary freedom so it wouldn't be bad, just a blow to the ego of sorts. They are suppose to be moving soon anyway, so I may just have figure something else out, as they would be moving out of state. It'll work itself out.

The 18th was the last workout (Heavy Leg) since I got sick. So Im pretty sure it was not from that, and I put the strength run to bed, focus changed, SO hopefully my headaches will go away (at least my 50%) from heavy lifting & high volume. Work? NOw that's another story.

Im about to see how much my books with cost, seeing that they all do NOT go into new editions :evil:..

10 minutes will not do the trick... calves STILL sore, not to mention all the other issues... I was still semi tight after that too... then she decided to get creative & try to have me do some misc core work... not happening... I felt I weighed 300 lbs in the plank position ... I couldn't even lay on my back, go into a bridge and easily raise each foot... Im off... off off off off off and i hate it

Read about your MEX craving coming back. Just wanted to let you know that I use a salt-free mexican seasoning now on my chicken from whole foods and it is so yummy! Also, you can try fresh spicy salsa and see if that eases up your urge for mexican. Of course, if you're craving a 'rita, I can't help ya! :D

LOL. It's for my fave Chimichanga meal with guac dip & chips with a ginormous rita (see previously post b day pic for reference, the thing is like 4:1 ratio :evil: )
I best stay away from any temptation... for now lol

We ran out of time after 90. She'll hit the tissues that were not really worked today on Saturday. It was great thank you for asking. :rose: I loosened up from yesterday, my right lower SI joint was ehhh, my right erector (superior) has been tight since as long as I can remember, on & off. Left neck really tight, it was previously the right side. SO ...
Calves, wow, she said they were HUGE ... and they are. LOL still tender from last Sat. but down about 6 notches from earlier in the weak.

Ill post training tomorrow sometime... Pro was LOW today, Im out of food eek.

Snow will be here .. no long distance traveling for this Bunny esp at 1st official snow fall...

Hammer Strength Muscle Tech Systems. New for this gym, but not NEW NEW.
You thought they had what set up? Im confused.
Im taking preventative measures to help work with my imbalances, not eccentuate them, I see that too much around here and trying not to be another victim. (no i am not speaking to anyone directly otherwise I would make it known). I am going to add back in some things to help with stabilization & hopefully motor recruitment ... something if off and I don't like it.

Well, yah... new to you and your workout :qt: :)

Ok... I wanted to do Rev. Pec deck to hit post (rear) delts. I sat down and got situated on the machine and grab the handles and pulled back and out... FUCK.. it's a row machine :rolleyes: lol... but i competed a set, and then went to they old pec deck I used to use. I thought that row one was a pre-set up pec deck... instead of swinging the arms around.

Had to be there... it was funny.

Ahh well this is a new LF machine that is both row & rear delt depending on what handle you grab. :) I feel ya I thought the same thing. Im about to just do it & get it out of my system. It's driving me nuts :splat: I was able to drop 1.25% a week with a cheat before. I dunno, trying to figure it out without going mad.

I have no idea, since thanksgiving maybe or morning after? I didint eat solid foods for a few days b/c that bug or WHATEVER that was, then tday ate what I could but did not gorge like I wanted to. Memory Lapse, thinking... stairs was saturday ... lemme re look thru log to see if it triggers anything poor eating habits

I didnt have time to look...went to my p's then felt sick, took a day off from the gym, & trying to feel better. Sorry.
 
I again felt like crap yesterday so I took the day OFF since I haven't had one all week. I took a CB to give me some energy

I am feeling better and in a better mood that's for sure.

I have great news. I was really very hesitant about posting details about any show I wanted to do b/c every time I did something fell through and it made me feel like a failure... I’m such a dope that is NOT the case once I relinquished control over something I couldn't control. This is a fitness forum and I tell you all so much about what’s going on with me, I figure wtf, if I put it out there maybe I’ll get my but in gear and stop being afraid of failing so much. Back in Sept., when I decided to go to Joe's wedding and not do the show this past Nov. I pulled out the NPC schedule and looked up some temp. dates I may be interested in. Heck it was sept and the 07 schedule was pretty scarce and not fully posted yet, the only date I came up with in the midwest was the bev int show in KY this March, this is the show Sassy was going to do last year I believe.. not a small show. When scorp announced she was going to do BB there I thought that would be cool to have other people there I knew!!! I’d be cutting it pretty close though so I may be there for support if anything. I have a few other things on the horizon so I wasn’t sure Id be able to make that show date to the best of my ability, so thankfully I got an email from the host of a show here in IL on May 12th and that is one I am going to aim for. I am going to be so busy with school until May I hope I can pull this off. We shall see. I got the final confirmation that my cousins wedding wasn’t that weekend (yee haw) and that is what I was waiting for before saying anything.

I have been working on diet & training ideas as things unfolded last few months and think I have a semi solid plan to get me started.

For book keeping purposes - I attended the KY show last yr as my excellent pals Quadsweep, sis & family were there and had the additional joy of catching up w/ several other midwestern EF'ers. My target shows were in July - masters nationals & southern states. LOL If I have to travel to a show its going to be in a warm place at a warm time of year!

Hahaha that's RIGHT! I remember now! Thanks Sass. Well the May show is in summer in IL :) Too bad it's about 70 miles away from the city. :)

I was dreading a little bit to travel for my 1st show so I was stoked when I got that email from the venue host. There was NO IL date listed on the schedule as of yet ... I'd be stupid not to jump all over a show date 'local' for me. Seems SO far away though.

I am hoping I will have the same focus :) Days off are kinda hard with my work unless I swing a business related adventure but not so keen on those when a comp or protan are involved. My clients just would NOT understand, esp why I look orange.

I tried to get back last semester but class was cancelled. Area of study will be science. I'll figure it out down the road as some other opps open up, haven't been in school for a long time so retaking some refresher science courses. No WAY I can jump into Organic Chem right now :evil:

Ugh I also have to take speech, but not until summer. I hate standing in front of large crowds so if you remember that was one reason I wanted to do a comp in the 1st place and what pretty much changed my mind to take the plunge. I figure I wouldnt be afraid of public speaking in front of strangers anymore if I had to bawls to stand in stripper heels half nekkid in front of strangers judging every inch of me, kinda literally. I've also blown it off for geez 6-7 years. :worried:

We must have similar interests. I'm a pre-med, science major.
Speech sucks for everybody..just one of those things you have to do. I think really it only gets better with practice. It's a lot easier if you speak on things you're passionate about. We got to pick the subjects of most of our speeches in my class, so most of mine related somehow to diet or exercise. :)

Before I kinda narrowed it down it was a mix b/w radiologist & anesthesiologist... :) Patch Adams kinda defined what I wanted to do. One way or another cancer made it back to me. I 've always wanted a career where I can change save better improve help lives. That is where I am happy, always have been, that has been a constant with all this change. I find comfort in that at least.

How about your career path? Which direction you looking to go?

I'm probably going to go to an osteopathic med school. I really like the hands on healing approach, and I was kind of torn between chiropractic and med school...so that's kind of the best of both worlds. I haven't on a specialty yet, maybe just general or internal medicine.
