45 35 20 diet question

Is this the best break down to use?
The doctor told me about searching this diet online and follow it, I haven't been able to understand the break down, 45 is the % of protein a day, 35 the % of carbs a day and 20 is the % of fat per day? That is how I see it? I'm I correct?
 
That looks like a really good macronutrient split for fat loss. It sounds to me like you found yourself a really good doctor.

Multiply your body weight by 12-13 to get the number of calories you need to eat to loose body fat. Then break up that calorie number into 45% protein, 35% carbs and 20% fat.
Protein has 4 calories/gram
Carbs have 4 calories/gram
Fats have 9 calories/gram
