3rd time squatting

Sub-Zero

High End Bro
Platinum
alright, squatted for my third time ever, and after i post my sad numbers, i have a question-

115x12

125x10

135x8

145x6

and my question is---i felt no soreness or burn during the exersise, and feel no soreness now, but i just felt tired and it was hard for me to do it.

could this be because it was after a hard practice? or will i be sore tomorrow

Coolcolj is right, soreness is overrated. It means nothing. If you get sore, then you do, if you don't, then even better. The most important thing is progressive resistance. As long as either your reps with the same poundage or your poundage with the same reps increse consistently, you're doing it right. It would also be helpful, if you don't already, to calculate your workload for a squat session, or any movement for that matter........If you get caught in the trap of just trying to get pumped and sore, you'll go nowhere fast.

so by calculating, you mean like what i just did in this thread:D

yeah i have set amounts of sets and reps in those sets etc

:)

my squat day is up tomorrow, but i dunno if ill be able to do it since i wont have a spotter...

ill figure something out though, like maybe put a stool in the rack so if i fall down ill be cought, and then do the safety things... well see

dont need a spotter really.

if you feel like you aren't going to be able to make it back up just dump the bar off the back of your shoulders (as you step forward)
