2Thick's CARDIO thread....... a little more into it....

I am total agreement with 2Thick and his ideas on cardio. BUT, I constantly debate with myself about what to consume post cardio. When I do cardio first thing in the am, I will usually wait about 20 mins then consume 1/2c oats and 40g protein, then weight train in the evening with dextrose PW. NOW, I am forced to do cardio after weight training, which I dont like doing as it is, but should I have trouble believing that dextrose would be the best idea for a PW meal, even with the weight training. Im thinking maybe 3/4c oats with 40g protein would be good here. Your thoughts?

NO...After you weight train AND do cardio you need to replenish those gycogen stores as quickly as possible...You are still getting the fat burning benefits of cardio through out the day
 
The only thing that sucks about this is I like the PW shake immediately following weights. You will have to take it after the cardio which will be about 30 minutes following your weight training so you will need something even quicker so stick with the dextrose and protein shake.
