2006-08 VW Jetta: who has one/knows someone who has one?

BTW, if you liked the interior of the Jetta, don't drive an Audi A3. Its interior is a Very Nice Place To Be.

Oh, and how did you end up with a Jetta rental? I'm surprised any rental fleets are running VWs, usually they have Cobalts and Pontiac G6s. Did you happen to notice how many miles it had on it? People tend drive rentals as if they were stolen, they take a beating, if the Jetta is holding up to that then it must be doing pretty well.

enterprise rental offered me a jetta, a tauras or a ponitac whatever. having admired the jettas in various parking lots, i chose the jetta for a 3 day rental.

it had 3K on it when i got it. the radio had poor reception, power mirror selector switch was loose...otherwise drove tight and rattle free....in spite of being a rental.

i think u'll be happy with the car as long as you propperly maintain it. Ive never had a problem with any german car because i've always had the propper maintanace done - saves you money in the long run.

i think its funny when people buy a car, change the oil every 20k miles, never touch the timing belt, spark plugs etc and expect the car to run like new.If you take care of a german car, it'll take care of you.

btw dont maintain the car at some pos pitstop like jiffylube, take it to the dealership ($$$) or find a reputable european repair shop in the area

damn well.... lol that sucks

just make sure you get a great warranty and you maybe intrested in getting the unlimited maintance for xxxx.xx amount of dollars - then when all is said and done you'll hopefully never have to spend out of pocket, at least for 100,000 on the car.
