I dont mind the muscle gains, but when I start gaining fat, i just start to lose it in the head, my motivation goes down, I start to hate my body, etc...
Am I alone in this?

Thats honestly why Ive never really gotten above 190.
That, and genetics.
you can lose fat. We're talking about being between 10-17% vs 6-10%, big fuckin deal! If being at 15-17% allows one to train optimally for size and strength, and they get to 260-290 at the 12-17% range, they can easily trim down to 245-275 at 8% (hell 4% if they wanted to, but 8% is more long term manageable). 17% is unacceptable for you, but 17% still looks better than the average guy out there.
BTW, youre not one to talk about genetics:

Tweak your calories. You can bulk and eat clean putting on muscle while not putting on slabs of fat.
most people here have a misconception (75th) of what "fat" really is. AV is right, you can eat mostly clean and put on some mass without too much fat. Besides all that pussy ass whining though...don't you like how much stronger you are even if you have a little chub? Now quit being a vagina and go move some heavy ass weight.
lolthat's why i never go over 6%bf at all times or never dip down below a 7 figure income. thank god my cawk can't shrink under 8 inches though

True that. Although, me going from lets say 9% to 15% would entail having to get new suits and clothes and shit, which is no bueno.
I hate suits.
I had to buy a suit for my buddy's wedding in June. He purchased them all up front and we all reimbursed him. He got a deal on them so it wasn't too expensive. Anyway, suits were in and 3 of us all went in at the same time to get our suits tailored.
One guy is like 6'1" 175 lbs, pretty much an off the rack guy, cuff the pants - $20.
Another guy is maybe 6'0" about 225, muscular but carrying a good amount of fat - stocky dude. He needed a little more tailoring so his was $40.
I'm 6'2" around 235, I needed all kinds of shit. Had to have pants taken in at the waist so much they said they were going to have to do a bunch of work to make them look right (buying rack suits they figure if you're getting a 46 coat you must have a 44 or so waist). Coat had to come in at the waist too. Shoulders and arms were tight, but as long as I didn't raise my arms up and across it was OK (like scratching my left shoulder with my right arm or something).
They cut me a deal on it and only charged me $60.
I'm glad I don't have to wear a fucking suit all the time.
Not to mention I sweat like a hostage in those fucking things.
Oh and dress shirts? LOL! I go to the Big & Tall to find my neck size (19.5 to 20) and then I look like I'm wearing a table cloth. So I have to get dress shirts tailored too.
I think if I had to wear a stupid suit all the time I'd just get a fat gut to match my upper torso/shoulders. It'd be easier.
When I train regularly and eat clean I can cut fat and gain strength at the same time. It's probably slower than it would be if I committed to one or the other at any one time but since I'm not competing and not trying to gain mass, it works out well. My fitness goals have always only been half cosmetic and half functional anyway. I need a strong back and arms to pull drop lines and anchors out of the water (or a 250lb man, as it was once over the summer). I need strong legs to climb a tree ladder with a set of doubles on my back in four foot seas. I need to be strong enough to lift an aluminum 100 tank several feet over my head in an awkward position to get them onto land from the dock after a boat trip. On the flip side I have to keep up with gut busting cardio to keep my lung capacity, CO2 max, and lactic acid tolerance maxed out for freediving.
Two areas I wish I could gain a little size - gluts and hams. But as hard as I train both those areas, I can't really imagine I'm going to make much ground when i'm doing max effort cardio 3/4 hours a week that's probably eating up whatever muscle I gained the day before. So till I'm where I want to be with my freediving fitness levels, I'm basically lifting to not LOSE muscle lol.
Thats amazing! You are one tough chick.
