What is with you and wanting to get married so bad at such a young age? You used to be engaged to like you HS sweetheart, right? You've banged about 5 chicks since her and now you're ready to get fuckin married again? What's the rush?
 
For the very religious, marriage means something different than it does to others. That said glad isn't exactly a model conservative Xtian.

But The good christian believes we are called to get married and honor god through that union. Scoff if you want but extended auditions are not really needed when you see marriage as the starting point of a relationship rather than a finalization of what already exists.

My parents got engaged after three months of dating. 31 years later, it's still working. I know another couple who were married at 21 (guy) and 18 (girl). Nine years later they are still devoted.

I'm not saying the model works for everyone. I'm just saying the "dont get married till xyz" isn't needed for everyone either.

Ok glad, you cant expect to post this here without receiving opinions, so here are my 2 cents:
If you are spiritual/religious which I think you are (I dont so I dont care) marriage is supposed to actually mean something, a deep commitment, a promise upon a higher power that from that date forward you will help your partner, support them, put their needs ahead of your other family and even yours, ur pretty much becoming one, are you willing to be faithful, to support them in everything they do, to defend them above your own family?

I know lots of people in your same conditions that can make it just fine, however, dont you make minimum wage at Chilli's? you have an old geo metro... other than love what else do you offer this girl? rent, phone, cable, internet, power, water, gas, all those things, can you make it, if she works that's great so you can have support since it doesnt have to be all you, if you are SERIOUS about this go for it but PLEASE have a plan, save at least 10% of your salaries for a rainy day, build your credit, make a REALISTIC 5 year plan that obviously doesnt include corvettes and banging MILF :D

The thing is I am not scared of change. Im not gonna say "I need x amount of money, slept with x amount of girls, and own x amount of stuff before i get married. I knew right away that I wanted to marry this girl. I wanna have kids too

I adjust my life to whatever gets thrown at me, most people cant do that, they break down and stress, I can do it and im only 20 i think its a gift

Normally, rational people make plans and try to be prepared, but shit just happens and you hope you're ready. But, it happens anyway and life rolls on. So you either roll with it or you end up on the streets or in a facility somewhere.

I still think you should wait and try to prepare a bit more. Why not finish school and establish yourself in a career before you take on the responsibility of a family? Children? Shit son. I don't want to have to pay for your kids too! And I know I will, because I know you can't.

1. Have you met the girl's parents yet?

2. Do you have, at minimum, a solid job with a steady income, a home of your own (yes, apartments count) and at least three months of expenses (rent/mortgage and all utilities plus food) saved up in the bank?

3. If you cannot answer yes to both questions then I'm telling you, as a person who got married WAYYYYY too young, with both of us absolutely unprepared for it (we couldn't answer yes to any of the questions in #2) the odds of it being a lifetime union are stacked heavily against you.
