Is the best protein for the buck still Optimum Whey 10lb bags? If so, anyone know a good website where i can find cheap? For the past year, I've had injury after injury, so I'm finally ready to get back to the gym.

I go for quality over price whn it comes to protein,,,mostly WHEY ISOLATE for me.

Alotta guys here dont like it but I like Natures Best whey isolate. I usually get vanilla because it mixes good taste wise pretty good with everything. Its kinda pricey but I think its good quality....

For those of you who choose "quality" over price.... may I ask why?

Now it may seem like a dumb question but when you take into consideration that the digestion periods aren't that far different to account for such a price jump in WPH or WPI, the dietary cholesterol plays little role in over all Cholesterol (HDL, LDL) levels....

Aside from Lactose or GI problems, do you guys that reach top shelf for protein, really see a difference? I'm just curious.

I ran out of protein a few weeks ago and went to walmart and got some cheap stuff. It was ice cream sundae flavor and it tasted pretty good with half cup of heavy cream and half cup of water.

No difference to me. No gastric problems or anything. I guess Im just product loyal.

At is about it. Besides protein factory (who has top of the line designer protein products) I don't see the reason for paying a arm and a leg for protein. Taste would be the only reason to pay a little more. I mean what good is protein if you can't even choke it down.

On that note I would go with proteinfactory.com if you just have to have the best of the best.
Justaddmuscle.com sups 911 for good taste good price good quality.

Good stuff.

I'll accept that answer over some bro-science any day :)

Thanks for the response. As Need2 said above, it's hard to find quality/taste/price in one product... but JAM must have hit the nail on the head.

If I'm on a keto diet it's Protein Factory all the way. Pure CFM isolate. Other than that I go to Sams and but the EAS 100% Whey. 5lbs for $28. Can't really beat it. I am going to try some from JAM though.

Had a sample and it was pretty good w/ a little better nutritional profile...

Optimum nutrtionis probably the best bang for your buck. its not the best tasting protein, but it doesnt taste as bad as alot of other ive tried. so basically, i wont puke from drinking it, and i dont mind drinking it post workout. ive tried one that taste like a milkshake but it gave me gas. musclemilk is delicious, but theres so much sugar in it. ON has 24 grams of protein per scoop, 3-4 grams of carb, 1 gram of sugar, thats why i use it. but then again, i only use it for first thing in the morning right before breakfast, and post workout, then off to my meal. if your using a shake as a meal replacement, then you should get a good tasting one, if you just want one for the fast digesting protein, ON is good. i just ordered 2 jars of syntrax nectar (caribean cooler and fuzzy navel). shits 28 bucks for 2 pounds, but i hear it taste real good so i figured id give it a try. i dont use whey as a meal replacement, i like real food alot better, less additives. just grab a 10lb bag of ON, its 75-80 bucks, definitely worth it.

I was going to buy from JAM, but the shipping was pretty expensive. That put its 20lb non-branded protein at the same price as 2 10lb bags of Optimum Nutrition Gold Whey. If anyone knows of a free shipping coupon please let me know.

I was really hoping to try their product as i heard some good things, but with shipping to NJ its not a bargain, even in 20lb bulk.

All of my life I have used concentrate because it has much better flavor than anything else I have tried and its more reasonably priced. I have used isolate and have noticed no difference at all except the nasty after taste, horrible bland taste and elevated price.

These are my thoughts exactly.

As long as you can handle the lactose, I'd rather go with Conc. than Iso. or WPH.

WPI and WPH also foam up like crazy!
